Amazingly there remains a few left in my local Toyworld after feeling concerned that I would struggle to get one a while ago !!!
My Big W and Target have had Jabba's Palace for ages, It looks like the same sets have been on the shelves for months, It seems really expensive for what you get in it? I Guess Jabba's Mini Fig is probably worth $20 or more alone.

Re: What I bought today
Well finially after a long long wait i received today my Tower Of Orthanc took 15 days to arrive very long wait
In the mean time i bought
LEGO City Police Headquarters (#7744)
LEGO - City Police Command Center (#7743)
I Also bought bricks to remake the World City Train Shed
All up it cost around the $120-$150 ( i will add up all the invoices soon to get a exact price soon) the most expensive and hardest parts to find were the Roof pieces, the Black slopes and Smoke windscreens, are Very Expensive But all up i am happy with the price

Re: What I bought today
'SnapLock' you have the only good set from the World City theme......that reminds me to fix mine.
Now even though cash has been tight I have twisted my own arm in the past few days......
Now I have only 6 or 7 city sets left to get this year.....man, by 2015 Railshow I'm going to have a huge Lego city layout.

I've been thinking about doing this myself, $150 seems relatively reasonable given the amount the sets are for sale on BL for. I'd be really interested to know how much you spend in the end. And interested to see the end result

Re: What I bought today
Well I just finished both the stunt plane and monster truck sets tonight......the little plane is well worth the money spent on it and the monster truck is cool, the tools can mostly be stored in the two red 2x3 cupboards.....the only odd thing is no mirrors on the prime mover but ting ones on the monster truck. The stunt plane and monster truck are joint theme.....cargo and great vehicles but also together as a stunt team......driver and pilot have the same torso.

Re: What I bought today
I have been quiet of late spending most of my cash on increasing the stock levels of parts for my bricklink store.
Anyway, during this buying spree I managed to grab a Hot Dog Stand Polybag Set # 40078 which arrived today

Oh Wow this has to be one of my all time favorite Lego sets i as thinking about buying another to combine them.
Tiger you wont be disappointed the whole set is great and looks really cool on display.
I love the "Asylum paddy wagon build" & just the overall "crazy" & "spooky" vibe of the building.
The only i thing i changed in mine was i replaced the broken window effect to match the other windows with spare parts form ToyCorner.

Great looking building, Love the gate! I didn't see this set at my Target or otherwise I probably would have put it on my layby.

Re: What I bought today
Today i bought lego cargo truck 60020
The forklift design i really liked however, it is let down by the rubber band that moves the hoist arm up and down why Lego didn't keep the old metal spring design as seen on the forklift form the LEGO World City 4512 Cargo Train . Or the pin movement of 4206 Recycling Truck.
This is one of the few Lego sets that i will put into my 'Meh Whatever" Pile.

Re: What I bought today
Now the tiger is in the other side of the fence on the fork lift.......though I did note that forks don't hit ground - about a plate and a half thickness off the ground......so I'll build a loading dock for it.SnapLock wrote:Today i bought lego cargo truck 60020

Re: What I bought today
It's only 115 at my local Kmart, but I brought it from Myers with their 10 bucks off every 50 deal.
The vehicles are cool and the plane well worth it....better than the last cargo plane from 2008.
