Re: What I bought today
I rarely post here because in all honesty I aint buying a great deal of anything other than bricks for projects however I feel I should rub this great brick buy into your guys.
During a display I happened to buy some of the Lone Ranger sets for a great price.
Cavalry Builder set # 79106 = 3 for $20.00
Commanche Camp set # 79107 = $15.00
All of the sets were heavily reduced so had I robbed the stage coach I would of bought the full range for about $250.00 to $300.00 which is rare for brand new and mint condition boxes

Re: What I bought today
I picked up my latest lay buy today, it included a second town square, a second creator house, Friends Ship (Yea!), cement mixer, cargo truck/forklift set, helicopter rescue and another Friends pool (lots of great accessories in this set).

Re: What I bought today
The xmas tree farm looks like a cool little bonus set, i really like the Lego Xmas theme.timmyc1983 wrote:Big haul today:
Picked up my lay-by from the k-mart special...
My LEGO.com order came as well....
Which came with a free set :D .....
Now I'm broke :-p
The Mine is such a cool set i bought another at the k-mart sale myself & have added more narrow gauge track to make a little train layout.
The haunted house is also a great set, i modded the roof of mine to make it like a modular & added some extra details .
They are 2 great sets Timmy have fun building them.
Ps i have been on what i would call a Lego Rampage lol. i have spent close to $1000 on Lego in the last month and pick up another lot next weekend. so in a weeks time i wil post all the sets i have bought.

Ohhhhh..... the haunted house, I love that set even though I don't own it.
The Mine = I have pulled mine apart for spare bits, didn't like it at all.

Yeah I have a Modular plan in LDD for the Haunted House already, so I get two builds for the price of one the official then my MODAjax wrote:Ohhhhh..... the haunted house, I love that set even though I don't own it.

And the mine is good (I was surprised at how much track there is!), I mainly bought it for my layout, once I expand the shelves I wanted my city to be in on the mining boom
P.S. I can't waint to see what sets you got SL, $1000 is a lot of LEGO!!

Re: What I bought today
After going from buying at least 1 or 2 lego sets a week, i haven't bought any for a while, this little collection more than makes up for it.You may think that's a lot of Lego & you would be right lol.
I'm thinking i might wrap some up for Xmas , i hope i don't build them all before Xmas
First up the only Lego my girlfriend has even been excited too see and played a few games with me. Lego NBA challenge ( i have 2x soccer sets just need to get the ice hockey sets)

Re: What I bought today
Wow!
Very impressive swag of Lego.
It will certainly take until Christmas to build all that.

Haha WHOAH!! I'm impressed, that's a lot of LEGO!
I'm very jealous of the red cargo train, I've been wanting that and the yellow cargo train for a while now...
And the NBA challenge! Nice! I got a bunch of random figures from it in an eBay lot recently

Re: What I bought today
Today I received another Lego 4564 from Germany after a paypal dispute, i got my money refunded and bought another one from a different seller. Then today after 4 months & 6 days since i bought it, a package turns up from the postie. This package looked like it went down on the titanic, it had water damage half the box was falling apart and it was flat as a pancake.
When i opened it up there was the Lego set 4564...... instructions ruined, speed regulator crushed & broken, and the track had lots of spot rust and was browning.
apart from that all the bricks were there and the 9v motor after a clean up works good. even though the casing is cracked.
I also bought a train i said i would never buy,as i thought it was a rather ugly looking beast.
After Eying it off for a while the collector in me won & i just had to have it lol. Lego Train 4558
To my surprise this train is like the Horizon Express, i had no interest in buying the 'HExpress until i got it for cheap then after building the set i though 'Wow" that really is a cool train.
Same goes with the MetroLiner after i built it i thought " Wow' that is cool.
i will take a photo of all my trains together with the wagons they pull around my layout soon

Re: What I bought today
As a result of a fellow brick enthusiast seeking assistance with the 171 verson of the 4.5V motor I decided it was time for me to rekindle some of my old sets from my childhood.
At present my original set is imcomplete so I have just bought a replacement in the hope I can still make mine live a bit longer
Re: What I bought today
It has been a couple of very full on LEGO days for me.
- Scored 7 LEGO Technic sets for Christmas plus a LEGO note book and ruler.
- I have added another shelf to my display cabinet to fit the above in
- Yesterday afternoon I ended up parting out 42009 which I have added to my parts collection.
- I have spent 11 hours today working on my latest Technic MOC, once it is finished I will post it up

Free Spirit,
They certainly are great motors.
My favourite from that era is the wind up motor; really great for play by little kids.

Re: What I bought today
Upon coming across the new Octan Saloon Car set # 60053 I decided to start the new year off by treating myself to both of these sets today.
I am already thinking about creating a few prototypes of the Saloon Car as I have had thoughts of re-creating one of the famous race track layouts as well
