Re: What I bought today
Lightningtiger: If you're asking about the town plan, it was about $300. It's all there, including the Cardboard baseplate. And yes it's in good condidtion for it's age. Only the box is in bad shape.

Nice, what condition is the cardboard town plan in. Most of the ones I've seen that are reasonably priced are pretty bad.Red_Five wrote:My most recent Purchase:

However there no set inventory on Bricklink, so I can't *actually* tell what's missing. But it does include 2 printed bricks, 'Hotel' and 'Esso Service'
There are 5 Vehicles: Fire truck, tow truck, Esso tanker - warped, VW 1500 And a VW beetle with broken bumpers. The fuel pumps are a little damaged. And the Esso sign has a bit of damage.
Also the box is in bad shape.

Re: What I bought today
Today i bought The Grand Prix Truck 60025 for $28 ( price match from Big W)
I was very pleasantly surprised when i 0pend the box and saw the white Lego train base that comes with the set.
After seeing it my thoughts were the Trailer is now becoming a train carriage and the truck cab is for spare parts lol

Re: What I bought today
I think you got a bargain. For an inventory, you could try and message Gary Ishtok, who posts on Eurobricks as LEGO Historian. He's the expert on this sort of stuff. His CD is well worth the price if you're interested. It probably has a chapter on these town plan sets and their inventories. They did vary from region to region, and over time though, so if yours differs it might not be wrong. Will you be coming down to Brickvention next year? Bring along your set if you do, I'd love a look.Red_Five wrote:Hey Peter, I think it's all there, including the Cardboard baseplate. Overall in good condition for it's age - I guess i got lucky

Re: What I bought today
couldnt you just replace the truck wheels with train wheels and run it along the tracks like that? then you dont need to worry about building a carriageSnapLock wrote:Today i bought The Grand Prix Truck 60025 for $28 ( price match from Big W)

Re: What I bought today
Couldn't help myself last week and bought 2 Hobbit sets for half price, the Mirkwood Spiders and the Warg attack sets. Not sure how I can get them into my City layout yet but I have a few ideas, I feel like an idiot now for buying a single white warg for $15 on brinklink for my City zoo, now I have 2 more?

Re: What I bought today
Sounds like a nice find, I can never find bulk sets like these at a decent price, not on ebay anyway.SnapLock wrote:Today i got a BULK LEGO LOT FOR $260

Here is a pic of some of the boxes i haven't washed and cleaned yet. these were the boxes that didn't stink, its just full of dust.
Today has been spent washing and drying most of the other boxes which smells like to put it bluntly a possum has pissed in the box ( half of the boxes were stored in a shed)
I have weighed the Lego today without the instructions it comes to 27.2kg's which is great for $260
