Re: What I bought today
During the past few days I have been on a buying spree which resulted in the following items coming my way
3 x Small Garages
3 x Street Light Packs
3 x Pine Tree Packs
3 x Small Trees
3 x Flower Packs
3 x Prickly Bush Packs
3 x Park Bench Pack
1 x Forest Police Station # 4440
1 x Large Grey Baseplate
The last item I bought today was the Police Station # 7498 to specifically cater for parts so I can hopefully restore the Fire Brigade Modular Building and other buildings I decide to build in the future !!!

[quote="Kaila21"][color=indigo]Had a few sets piling up in the last couple weeks,
most of these train boxes contain all the trays and for their age are in excellent condition I would say, I'm especially happy with the near perfect condition of 7710
Wow!
That certainly is an impressive collection that you have there.
I love the 12v trains but I became disillusioned with the constant track cleaning and so changed them over to 9v a few years ago. I do miss all of the switches though.
I hope everything goes well for you health wise.

Re: What I bought today
Well done Hemish; certainly a bargain.
The set is great; I saw it being built last weekend.
Unfortunately, I believe, LEGO in the USA are no longer shipping to sites like 'Hop,Shop,Go' and 'ShopUSA'; who would then forward the parcels on to Australia.
So having a friend in USA is great.

The exact same thing happened to me with the same Lego set on the same day, weird.
It was the second set I bought and I turned it into a custom caravan with some small modifications, I think it looks better than the original.

Re: What I bought today
Over the past few weeks I've had sets arriving through the post as well as picking up some locally, here's some pics -
Managed to get a box separately for this and now it looks good
The lower Shell carriage is new Misb with a cellophane seal (under the bubblewrap)
Got plenty more sets in transit, mostly train, castle and old ninja.
I need a bigger cupboard now ^^;;

Hm well depends on your perspective of 'large' but as you can see in the second last pic the pet shop is sitting on the bedside table there. The base size is about half the size of a pillow and the height is reasonable.. (sorry for not being very descriptive lol) Personally for me I would like it larger but your getting around 2000 pieces for $200 so I guess it's okay..

Re: What I bought today
Another order just turned up and I finally got back some of my stolen castle sets from long long ago. I actually never did own Guarded Inn so it's kind of a bonus lol.
And a few town sets came as well.
There's something about those windowed sets that I TRULY adore. It's so nice to be able to lift the cover and see whats inside without opening the box. Do these window type boxes even exist on any sets nowadays? I never see them if they do and it's kind of abyssal IMO to be very blunt about it.
I would love to have a list of all the windowed sets and I'd make them a priority for collecting. I wonder if any sites have such a list??

$683 AU (after conversion from Euro) Those 7 sets were all in that one order. I'm quite pleased with the condition of the castle stuff. I really love Shell sets hence am trying to collect them all eventually, have the main ones in transit although 6394 is proving elusive to find with the clear plastic inner trays included.
These days I don't buy unless the set (and packaging) is 100% complete.
Re: What I bought today
