Re: What I bought today
The motorbikes are cool, I particularly like the red circuit racer. One of the local shops has the Backhoe heavily discounted and I've been tempted to buy it.

For the first time in all the time I have been building lego sets, I was missing a piece - 1x3 black tile for the rear wall of the mine.
Check your shoe, sometimes bricks end up in there.

Everyone talking about these technic bikes has my interest. Is there a motocross version as well?

Nice, I want that train someday. So many things to buy...... Wouldn't it be nice to win the lottery and just spend a day on Brinklink buy everything you have ever wanted and sit at home for 6 months building an Awesome Lego City while drinking Vodka.

Re: What I bought today
Drinking Vodka while building a Lego city might make for a strange and wobbly looking city though
I agree though if I won Lotto I'd be ordering so many sets from Bricklink that the poor postman would have to go on compo for back strain.

Re: What I bought today
Gonna get that bike as it looks cool and the piece count/price ratio is good. In the meantime this came -
Yet another set that was stolen from me when I was young and naive.. This version is complete with the rare black sword etc. Have a few more sets on the way, mostly Town stuff.

A cool old set Kaila, great find. Sounds like you might've suffered what I suffered with my tinplate trainset when I was much younger. My parents deemed that I'd 'grown out of it' and it was passed on to some pointy headed crossed eyed relative's child.

Yeah think so too Annie and doesn't it suck! Took all my Castle Lego to school in grade 4 to share with the other kids at lunchtime. Then during classtime my whole collection was stolen from the bag racks. Stupid teacher wouldn't let me keep it in the classroom and then after reporting the theft the same LAZY-A$$ teacher just buried her head in the sand and totally ignored that it even happened. Didn't even do a bag check. My heart was totally sunk.
Anyway it's interesting that the things that seemed so precious and lost back then can easily be rebought now gotta love being an adult (not sure how rare/replaceable your tin trainset is though)

My money is on the teacher being the thief Seriously though it really sucks having something precious to you stolen when you're a kiddie. Stuff like that seems to stick with you for the rest of your life worse luck.
Yes being an adult with money is nice, - I did get to buy another set like my lost tin trainset, - and around 6 more sets and a whole lot of rare accessories to go with it too
*group hug!!!*
Awwwww nice......

Could your other one be 7777?
Re: What I bought today
Sqeeee! - not the wonderful 7777 book.
That is such a classic and the ideas in it are just as good and useful today as ever they were.
That was a good piece of luck getting that book Kaila, - and with most of the stickers still in it makes for a real find.

Interesting thing about the #6000 book that took me a little while to notice - it actually depicts a complete story, with no words whatsoever. It's actually quite novel.
