I'd love to get the school set, - only if I do that I'll have to extend the township onto the next baseboard as I'm fast running out of room. It's amazing how small what i thought was a large layout baseboard becomes once buildings start to be set in place.
And yes the school does look similar to the yellow train station now you mention it.

Oh yes you're doomed alright Ajax, - no hope for you at all now you've come to the Pastel Side...... What I bought today - Page 37 582256

I've been buying Lego clockwork motors from ebay. Nobody seems to want them these days so they are usually cheap to buy. They are really well governed and run nice and smoothly.
What I bought today - Page 37 LegoClockworkMotor_zps2bfcfeaf

It's possible to change the wheels over to 4.5volt train motor wheels provided you're careful with how you remove the road type wheels. I've built a nice railbus for the Kotanga Tramway so far and I've got other 'speeder' type rail vehicles planned as well.

For me the Friends Dolphin Cruiser is a must, My City layout will be very beach/ocean orientated so it makes sense, plus it looks pretty Awesome legohappy

I wonder if Lego knew Friends would be so popular? With the amount of sets they are releasing it must have heaps buyers and collectors. If they stop making Friends sets I would guess they will be worth a lot of dollars in the future.

I think the Friends series took off beyond Lego's wildest hopes for a new theme. I don't see them bringing it to a halt any time soon and more than likely it will become a standard theme like City & etc.
As sets go through the normal release and discontinuation cycle though I'm sure they will become sought after by collectors as time goes on. Particularly the first release sets as they will be the ones that AFOLs would have missed through not taking the Friends series seriously enough.

And now they are even adding 'Boy Friends', I notice there is a Mathew in the new school set.

Finding that set was a real piece of luck Kaila. I wonder how many old sets from way back then are languishing in stockrooms just waiting to be found.

I got 4204, the Mine Site, for XMAS and finally opened.

For the first time in all the time I have been building lego sets, I was missing a piece - 1x3 black tile for the rear wall of the mine.
