Thanks for the info. I will probably go and look today.
Edit; I looked this morning at Myer Northlands. None on the shelves so I asked. Apparantly they are in the next catalogue and will be available for $129.

Re: What I bought today
From K-mart by any chance? I saw them for that price in their catalogue today, and I'm considering buying another for a second car and spare parts for steam train MOCs.

I wish I could get so much LEGO all at once.

Re: What I bought today
I recently bought Cafe Corner, Green Grocer and Firehouse for $500 USD including postage through a Eurobricks member. Very good deal considering in Australia Cafe Corner and Green Grocer are $250 and Firehouse is $280.

Are you sure it was K-mart?, Myer have it in their catalogue and marked as Exclusive. I bought mine at Myer. Most Melbourne Myers had limited stock and it sold out quickly.

That is a good deal. I'm not sure why Lego think it's a good idea to have such a disparity between the Oz and US prices. Since the Lego fan community is so internet aware, this sort of thing is bound to happen.

How's Modern Warfare 2? I'll get around to purchasing it one day!! Did you get the NVG's with it? Some guys at work did; they're not that great, which I was kind of expecting anyway!

Re: What I bought today
MW2 is good, Finished the Singleplayer in a day, Waiting for my mate to get MW2 so we can do Spec-Ops (Co-Op), Multiplayer is pretty good. Except IWNET is annoying sometimes you get massive lag.marvinblue wrote:How's Modern Warfare 2? I'll get around to purchasing it one day!! Did you get the NVG's with it? The NVG's were only for the "Prestige Edition" which was only for 360/PS3. And it cost alot more, And I only have PC.
Re: What I bought today
Single day?! That's impressive! How was the gameplay? I found the first one had awesome graphics, but it was to simple to play.

Re: What I bought today
Not really, I did it on the second easiest setting. (just checked my Steam account took me 5.8 hours for singleplayer, And 15.2 hours of multiplayer ) The thing that took me the longest was one of the first missions, climbing up a mountain it took longer for me to do then any other level, and there was no shooting or anything involved, just climbing up a mountain with icepicks, took me 30 mins. I was surprised how short the singleplayer is though. The graphics are amazing. Even me a highly experianced FPS gamer found some levels hard even on the second easiest setting. It is simple though, The instructions are fairly simple except only in one or two cases was I lost with what I was supposed to do...but figured it out within acouple mins. Also there are acouple of twists in the game which in some cases leaves you with your jaw on the floor screaming for revenge.marvinblue wrote:Single day?! That's impressive! How was the gameplay? Re: What I bought today
My BA Order arrived today. It cost $66 AUD. (Would've been less if I had bought from the Aussie Reseller but he didn't have some of the things I wanted, So I ended up paying alot more for shipping)

Re: What I bought today
I bought the very same sets as marvinblue yesterday, though I bought mine from TRU as I had a gift voucher from Xmas to spend. I paid $55. My Kmart didn't have these sets but did have the airport, limo and the other plane.

Re: What I bought today
I recently had a trip to Nolfolk Island and everything is duty free. There was a toy shop on the island and a standard battle pack was $14 instead of $20. they also stocked a few of the older sets. So I ended up getting Magic Mountain Time Lab 6494
The only problem is I've misplaced the 14 year old set. XD

Wow, how much was 6494? That would be a collector's item isn't it?Keetong wrote:I recently had a trip to Nolfolk Island and everything is duty free. Re: What I bought today
Still, I'd imagine it would be worth a good bit more than $70. I think you have made a very good purchase there Keetong.
