Really excited about my latest purchases!

I have ordered the Sponge Bob Flying Dutchman from the US and a 50th anniversary Lego box of 1000 pieces with gold bricks from bricklink (US).
I also bought some smaller sets off bricklink:
6858 Catwoman Catcycle City Chase
8083 Rebel Trooper Battle Pack
7305 Scarab Attack
8084 Snowtrooper Battle Pack
and a Sandy Cheeks Astronaut minifig!

and i got the Petshop + Fire brigade modulars for my b'day which was on the 19th. It's going to be a good year for Lego!

Upon browsing into Target where it was 20% off I ended up purchasing the following two LEGO items legohappy

1 x Patrol Car # 4436
1 x Collectable Minifigure Series 6 = Classic Alien

A pity I couldn't find any other minifigures because I am still looking at grabbing more while stocks last at this price !!!

I don't know about where you are Freespirit but where i live Target keep the mini-figures on the counter at the front of the store. I'm pretty shameless so i walk up to them and just stand there feeling what's inside them while the attendants look at me like i'm odd.

I wish i could take advantage of the 20% off at Target but there is nothing i want there at the moment legosad Our local has a pretty average selection. In fact it's about 80% ninjago which i'm not really into :<

Oh yeah, i got some minifigs:

8827-1: Flamenco Dancer
8827-6: Skater Girl
8827-11: Genie (x2)
8827-13: Bandit
8827-14: Minotaur
8827-15: Highland Battler

Not bad for seven random grabs. legohappy

I also nabbed:

4431: Ambulance
4432: Garbage Truck
4433: Dirt Bike Transporter
4435: Car and Camper

I'm liking the look of all of them, but have only built the Transporter and Camper.

I also bought 4431: Ambulance and 4432: Garbage Truck last night at Target.

Just completed both this morning. Ambulance is awesome but the Garbage truck seems not in the right scale when put next to all other city vehicles...

It is funny how Target have lifted their game by bringing some new LEGO into there store in Hobart in particular legolaugh

I rarely buy anything from them because most of time their stock is limited to boring sets that I dislike such as Atlantis, Cars and Duplo.

It's usually when a 20% sale happens is when I buy as more stock arrives on the shelves mysteriously which says a lot about how average service can be at times here in Tassie !!!

A large box of LEGO items arrived safe and sound which are as follows legohappy

1 x KFC Custom Modular Building
1 x McDonalds Custom Modular Building
1 x Subway Custom Modular Building

As part of this purchase I received two Collectable Minifigures - Series 6 which was worthwhile because I hadn't secured one of either as yet,

1 x Flamenco Dancer
1 x Mechanic

Whilst I have gone against the common trends of buying common sets I am looking forward to displaying them as part of my layout as it raises the standard just a little !!!

Be sure to post some photos of your new buildings! I'm interested to see what the McDonalds building looks like (I won't spoil it by googling the image).
I'm hoping for a brick link order today legosad Fingers crossed.

I don't know why images never work for me so I will upload the KFC Custom Modular Building to my flickr account via my website link which I hope you can access !!!

The McDonalds Restaurant needs a bit of work as it came in pieces without instructions which is the pitfall of buying these particular creations sometimes legosad

What I bought today - Page 23 7993_Service_Station

Just ordered this on BrickLink, expecting it to get here in no more than two weeks (by start of this week if everything goes very quickly)... looking forward to when it gets here, it will make a great addition to my LEGO City. Unfortunately, it does mean no more LEGO buying until I get birthday money. Despite the fact it was an old set, its still really good to get it, because 3 Police Stations doesn't mean a city.

That is a very well designed set. I think probably the best petrol station LEGO has made (IMHO of course). I really like the black motorcycle in it too.

It has been a while since I bought myself any LEGO so after browsing into Target I happily forked out some cash to buy the following items which were marked at 25% off legohappy

1 x Ambulance # 4431
1 x Dirt Bike Transporter # 4433

On my way out I began thinking of how to build a trail bike scene which might come to fruition upon buying a few more of the new released sets !!!

I've bought a fair bit recently, but one of the best deals was an old stock, tatty boxed, clearance item at the Gepps Cross Homemaker Centre 'Toys-R-Us.'

Prince of Persia - The Ostrich Race for $15.00.

Not bad for three figs, two ostriches and a heap of oddly-coloured pieces. Pity about the light flesh though. legosad Anyone want to swap? Oh, and there's still one set left there if anyone cares.
