Re: What I bought today
AnitaE
Did that work out at $29 each?
I think that is cheaper than the super clearance at bigw a month ago.
You have scored well.
Will we see a brown building with lots of pale blue windows on the BLTG layout in May?

Re: What I bought today
lol... I did buy them and thought that is what might end up happening, but I also bought a book today showing the changes in buildings in Brisbane (a then and now type book) and I am stuck on the idea of the Brisbane post office.
At least I have a little bit more tan now :P

Re: What I bought today
I went looking for a bargain and/or something I need to assist in the construction of my new found creation today which subsequently resulted in me buying another Level Crossing # 7936 because I couldn't find anything of use or value in the greyish colour !!!
Nevertheless I am still happy because I still require lots of train parts for the massive City Layout that I am improving all the time

Re: What I bought today
Sweet pickup Free Spirit! How much do you pay for it? I can't justify $90 at the moment for it and will have to wait for a better offer, but I would love this set for my City.

Re: What I bought today
A Bricklink store that just sells CMF's http://www.bricklink.com/store.asp?p=Jungle-Juice
looks like he's sold out of boxes but shoot him an email if you're keen I don't think he shows all his stock.
He reserved my boxes because I bought the last series from him but added if I wanted more to email him.
Hope that helps.

Re: What I bought today
About $140.00 au per box shipped.
But Hemish had to pay re-shipping from Tas so it was a bit more for him.......it costs more to send from state to state then from Europe to Aus, how do they work that out? shame on you Australia post!!
Still a bargin though.

Re: What I bought today
Just added five more sets of the Flexible Track # 7499 to my LEGO Train Collection which is steadily taking shape !!!
I have to buy a few more trestle tables so I can link it together having worked out how the layout will be displayed upon completion.
Strangely enough I think my layout will just keep getting bigger and better as time goes on

Re: What I bought today
lol Free Spirit, I imagine it is getting bigger with more track.
My husband bought the POTC ship today... but I am not allowed to steal bits from it (he wants to keep it built)... so it is useless to me

Re: What I bought today
Basically what I have built is a Passenger Train Loop which runs parallel with a Main Road that is heading south with a Cargo Loop on the right hand side of that.
The Flexible Track will be running around the outside of the two loops with the idea of running in both directions.
As for uploading some photos that will happen once I link the tracks together !!!

Thanks to the observant forum members who tipped me off regarding the PotC sale at Target I was able to buy:
4195 LEGO® PIRATES OF THE CARRIBBEAN™ Queen Annes Revenge
And i Lay-by'd these two because I couldn't decide which one to get:
4194 LEGO® PIRATES OF THE CARRIBBEAN™ Whitecap Bay
4193 LEGO® PIRATES OF THE CARRIBBEAN™ The London Escape

Re: What I bought today
POTC - Captains Cabin - I never thought I would find a set that made me feel more ripped off than a starwars set.
Even at 20% it was still too expensive that should be a $15 set tops even then I would have to think twice, I only got it for the minifigs
Target and Kmart are also clearancing the World racers stuff both at the same price only bonus is target have the 20% off so its a bit better there, I picked up the boat racing one, I think the rrp was $59 on that I got it for $31
