Which one? I think 10197 has already been reviewed at this site, but I'll happily review my copy if people want me too.Captain Zuloo wrote:Fantastic! Be sure to review it.

Thanks for the welcome. It feels good to own this - I always miss out on the good sets (like Emerald Night ), so to get this was awesome.

Re: What I bought today
Welcome aboard Civic Bossman.
You guys certainly had me browsing catalogues and some websites trying to work out whether I had bought 7567 yet.
Low and behold I do have it and it was right under my nose .

Re: What I bought today
I managed to secure a Sandcrawler at a reduced cost this afternoon which will add some interest to my limited collection of Star Wars Lego.
I'm looking forward to building it over the next few days, the good thing is that I don't have to answer to a partner about why I bought it, .

Re: What I bought today
If you don't mind me asking, what was the reduced cost? If I remember correctly, it was a fairly pricey set wasn't it?
Re: What I bought today
I ended up paying $253.00 for it which I think isn't too bad considering that it has eleven minifigures accompanying it.
The Death Star I am lead to believe has twenty four minifigures and was priced at around $850.00 to $900.00 retail here in Tassie so I think I have picked up a bargain.
What does everybody else think about it ?

Re: What I bought today
Hahaha, I think it's a lot of money for a Star Wars set.
But my un-appreciation of Star Wars aside, it sounds like you have struck gold so to speak, it also has a lot of nice brown! Is it old school brown or reddish brown?

Re: What I bought today
I remember seeing that sandcrawler for $100 clearance at TRU. It was before I was AFOL and many years ago. Lot bricks and in todays money its worth it considering we see Lego Star Wars tie Defenders for $80. Star Wars Lego is just way overpriced IMHO. I don't collect and only buy when on clearance and only because the kids like it. In fact the only thing I like about the 2009 and early 2010 models are the minifigs.

Re: What I bought today
How much was the soccer stretcher? I hadn't seen it before, and I was really kinda disappointed when I saw that TLG put a few parts in a bag and called it a set...no minifigs? What's the go with that?
Re: What I bought today
It was like $2 or something to fill up a BrickLink order. I know it's just a stretcher and air-tank, but I'm a sucker for official sets and packaging

Re: What I bought today
First of all, I bought my first ever Ambulance # 7890 which will require a Hospital to go with it at some stage.
Secondly, I've bought myself another first ever being the Recycle Truck # 7991.
Both of these items are likely to be put together whilst working at my Lego Stall at the local Sunday Market just to give people a chance to see my passion for building my collection in action.

Re: What I bought today
Just bought myself the Repair Truck # 3179 and somehow picked up the Army Men from Toy Story for an absolute bargain of $16.50.
Funnily enough, I should of being charged full price because the sale had finished however thanks to a failure to remove the reduce price sticker the store had no choice but to sell it to me at this price.
I'm still grinning about it, too, .
Since buying the Army Men thoughts have crossed my mind about doing a MOC of the M*A*S*H T.V Series whereby I will start by MOCing the likes of, Colonel Potter, Capt. Pearce, Capt. B.J Hunnicut, Radar O'Reilly, Corporal Max Klinger, Margaret "Hot Lips" Houlihan and perhaps a few more of characters.
