Lets make a friends section

this place seems pretty cool and fun so think i'll stay! but it needs 1 thing to make it better = a FRIENDS section!!!! lets do it whos with me

Message admin about it, I think it probably deserves its own section although I like it in the City section as a lot of people are merging the two anyway. I know my city will have both.

I agree about the need for a Friends section in the forum for very much the same reasons. It's been Ok in with the City topics, but it's a theme which is growing and will continue to grow.

i almost bought the squirrel in the tree set today. it was in bigw.

Sorry to disappoint but since neither of the current admins have ever mucked about with the features to create new sections this is very unlikely to happen. Even if I did feel inclined to learn how to do it, I'd be hesitant to split it off anyway since I'd rather have fewer sections with regular posts.

I would agree with peterab.

I believe that fiends is a logical part of the city theme as most builders soon add to the friends sets with other common elements to make their sets come to life.

Just as you add extra trees, flowers and minifigs to a creator house to 'improve' it, my girls do exactly this with all of the friends sets.

I have just had a look in the kid's room and every friends set has been cannibalised so that they can make their own houses their way.

Please post lots of topics and comments in the 'City, Friends and Trains' section.

I just went and had a good look at my own layout Brickie and I find that I very much have to agree. Because what did I see? - Friends parts and set pieces freely mingled in with City sets and MOCs as well as my Trains.

Thank you for amending the section title to include 'Friends', it was a wise and considered use of your new administrator powers IMHO.

Does it really matter if it does not have it's own section? Trains don't have it's own section, Technic does not have it's own section.
