Hello all, well I just arrived here, and wish to know what do you think about my MOC creations so far only minifigs (I just stared doing them, and I am not an expert, but what I want to have are just objective comments in how to improve or anything that you want to say) skulltransform

Oh thank you!.... I've been busy doing a lot of them, not only X-Men, but other themes.

What kind of customization did you do?

They're great minifigs Optimus Dragon. Do you use transfers or are you directly painting on the minifigs?

Thank you!!!!!!!

Most of the minifigs I do I use transfers and paint as well, you see there are parts that could only be painted say hair, legs (depending on what I am doing of course), but torsos, faces, 90% of the time are transfer what I use. It is a very interesting combination indeed that at the end makes the final rendition look good.

It just takes time, imagination and creativity. You have to look for the right colour parts... then decals usually is where all the work is directed, I usually do it by hand, then just scanned in order to be able to printed on decal... or transfer paper. Not difficult indeed

Great job on the minifigs. I especially like the Punisher

Is there a tutorial somewhere on how to make minifig decals?
I don't have any artistic ability and the only thing I need to go with my GI Joe Lego MOC's is minifigs.

Even though you say your minifigs are not for sale have you ever thought about taking commissions? Someone pays you to do the work for them. If you ever think about doing that I have a list of wants legohappy

I was thinking about starting a similar topic but since this discussion is about what I am trying to find out I thought I would raise it here.

Basically I am interested in finding out the simplest way to create my own Custom Made Decals required for any creation that I may wish to pursue.

I'm in awe of what I see of the forum and want to put some of own ideas into fruition before I give up without trying.

Anybody got any suggestions ???

Yes, sticky photo paper from Officeworks and an ink jet printer, plus use MS Paint, that's what I use. legowink
Signs, merchandise and torso's too - it's easy once you master it !

Very nice but one problem, if it's just paper....thin paper.....it will tear too easliy, though fine if your minifigs are not going to be moved.

I'll do a dummy run before I print the labels so I can perfect them as I am a bit of a perfectionist being a typical Libran legowink

I wasn't sugesting that paper was the go, but it's cheap to play around with while perfecting that personalized look , then go buy some good stuff and get them printed at a shop that supports the colours your printer won't create (gold , silver ect).
