Despite car dramas that have had me swearing out loud several times in the past 24hrs, I managed to get to Myer Northland and snag a Cargo train for 30% off with my birthday money that I've had ferrited away since Feb.

It raining today so I won't do any mowing .... Yeah

I had a look around all three of the major retailers who are having a "Toy Sale" and couldn't find a bargain as such.

The bottom line is that I wanted the Pig Farm # 7684 which is supposedly on sale however as usual Tasmanians have to wait a bit longer for it, grrr !!!

Anyway, I ended up buying two sets of each of the road plates # 7280 and # 7281 and put some money towards a new Lay By being the Star Wars set, "The Battle of Endor" which hopefully will be my birthday present in a few months.

So, for my first non-introduction post I thought I'd announce my recent Lego purchases... not made today but in the last week or so.

While checking out the bargains at Myer, what did I happen to discover? Imperial Flagship for $199 which had to be mine. In fact if I can convince my partner I will go back and get another one or two for an armada since there are so many left at the local Myer.

Of course, purchasing the flagship satisfied me for oh about three days and I went back last night to get the Fire Brigade for $229.

So waiting at home for me this weekend are those two beauties!

I'm probably one of the last members to inform everybody that I have secured thirteen out of the sixteen Collectable Minifigures of Series 1 thanks to my order of twenty finally arriving at midday today.

Just require the Caveman, Clown and the Skateboarder sometime in the future before all stocks run out.

I caved and bought Brickbeard's Bounty, I wasn't going to as I have Black Seas Barracuda and told myself I would stay with "pure" old pirates... but if I don't get it now I will regret it when it is no longer available. Plus a heap of blue baseplates. Plus evil bricklink orders...

Went to local toyworld and put on layby passenger train and train station, while i was there I asked the lady about a previous catalogue where if you purchased a toy story set you got a promo set with the green alien
She said yeah they still had some and people were forgetting to give them out so she had a few, she then asked how many kids i have , i said 4 so she gave me 4 sets for free!!
They also have a $10 voucher if you layby more than $200 of lego in one hit, so i said she can keep the voucher if i could get some more of the promo sets, she says sure how many would you like, not wanting to sound greedy I said whatever you fell comfortable giving me, so she gave me another 4 sets!!

I've ordered the construct-a-buzz set. I should have bought it from The Warehouse the other week during their sale, but put it off.

Anyway, I found it at iqtoys yesterday for the same sale price $34.99. I bought the kids some other presents at the same time to make the postage charge worthwhile.

legoeyeshutlaughing I am finding LEGO is a great distraction right now! Though, I think I need to slow down my purchases!!!

First though:

Intrastella- Brickbeards Bounty is on my list to get as well! Great buy!
Hemish- I might need to go LEGO shopping with you! Nice shopping! legohappy
Chaucey- That's a good price!

As for me , I went ahead and bought:

10185 Green Grocer
10197 Fire Brigade
10211 Grand Emporium

Can't wait for them to arrive!!! legopartyhatsmile

lego@_@ I will slow down my purchases after this!!!

Yeah, I was looking for them and a seller had all 3, price was not bad, postage was a killer, but still saved a bit money compared to what I would have paid at S@H!

I really like your layout and your roads! I'll be making copies of your roads if you don't mind!

At the BrickExpo I'll be the guy who is taking photos with his iphone of your set-up! (And every other display I suspect!!!)

I went to Target on your suggestion! Very very bad move!!!! legospam1 Now I have 4 more of the new SW sets!!! They did not have Brickbeard's Bounty!!!

Cheers,
