Not LEGO this weekend but instead a Android tablet to access the forums, view PDF files and view videos.

I've owned an Android 4.0 tablet for a while now, they are really useful and much easier to carry around than a laptop.

I got a super old Chinese-Android 7" tablet, cost a hundred bucks a few years ago and it's running a 600mhz WM8960 core. Even with supremely hacked firmware and Rom (Uberoid)it's still really laggy.. Been using it to test run some sites I'm building since any new sites these days really must be tablet/Phone compatible.

Want a new one but am hoping the Galaxy Note 2 drops further in price and will use that instead.

What model you get Peter?

My tablet is a 10 inch 'ZTPad' which I've owned for around a year now. Cortex A9 1GHz with 1Gig of RAM. My daughter borrows it all the time for testing purposes when she has to do any website updating at work. I've owned a Chinese 7inch tablet before and I found it just too small especially if i was using it as a reader. I haven't tried Uberoid, but I did try Modroid on a 7inch tablet and it worked reasonably well.

So that's the near mythical Lone Ranger set everyone's been talking about. Not a bad price at all if that included postage.

Chinese Android tablets are great so long as the low spec cheapies are avoided. Best way to buy a decent one is direct from China on a post free deal. We have a lot of traders here in NZ who buy in the cheap ones by the container load and then try to sell them for top dollar. I got stung once like that when Android devices first hit the shops and having learned my lesson I made good and sure that I wouldn't get stung twice.

Hahaha sorry, i've built it now, but it was a used set, so all the bricks were in zip-locks, but it still has all the original packaging!!

The white carton had the Club Car 4547 :D

I love this train so much... And i've been waiting 20 years to build it haha (i always wanted it as a kid but never could afford it)

Now i just need to make room in my layout to fit it all in!!!

Locomotive Annie:

Yep, i'll definately be collecting more of them, just depends on my spare cash.

Kailia:
$65. But the box is a little rough - it's been drawn on, and the inner tray which is styrofoam was destroyed.

Since the Jabba's Palace # 9516 has become like a collectors item I made sure that I had one by going into my local Toyworld store and immediately put it on LayBy today !!!

Also added the Rancor's Pit # 75005 to my LEGO Star Wars Collection which isn't half bad with most of the collection being from the Return of the Jedi movie which is thirty years old now legohappy

I was at Big.W yesterday and they have like more sets of Jabba's palace than anything else, they probably had 15 sets out. It cost $178 and is no bigger than the city cop shop (maybe smaller), I don't understand why it is so expensive unless the Jabba mini fig is worth $50 alone?
