Melbourne Road Trip Empty Melbourne Road Trip

Post by brickie Fri 10 Jan 2014, 12:25 pm

A merry band of intrepid travellers will be setting off next Tuesday by bus from Toowoomba bound for Brickvention.

We will be meeting there as our members come from all over SE Qld and we will be driving down the inland route.

We will be taking the BrisBricks 'train display' down; hopefully most of it will survive the 1600+Km trip.

We will be staying in Dubbo on each leg.

We have booked accommodation in Melbourne at a hotel near Brickvention.

Personally, I am looking forward to meeting the Melbourne LEGOnians. PeterR, are you going to be there? I would love to meet up for a chat.

Melbourne Road Trip Empty Re: Melbourne Road Trip

What a great trip!

The bus did 3300+ Km and never missed a beat; even though it was loaded to the rafters.

We arrived in Melbourne at 6pm on Wednesday and unloaded the bus.

We were back in the morning to set up the tables and the train display.

The display was very well received by the large crowd.

Packing up on Sunday evening was very quickly done as, for most of the display, this was its last outing before the bricks were recycled for a new display.

We met lots of great people from all over Australia and we look forward to renewing friendships at other shows.
