Lego Adventure Starter Kit
I recently purchased a Lego adventure starter kit, I opened up the box with excitement pulling out hundreds of tiny blocks and scattering them all over my carpet, I opened the obnoxious plastic bags that contained smaller pieces, such as levers, accessories and character pieces. I was so ecstatic! I put together the 8 different Lego characters in a rush, ALL of which might I say, were Yellow (White people). Now, I’m not usually a complainer, but this is a perfect example of racial injustice, another example of “White superiority” where the **** was my Black character? I was going to make him Randy Jackson, and have the other two others represent Simon and Paula (who is now Kara DioGuardi, but I think she’s a ***** personally). The other characters would be the contestants, (one of which would be the one put on the show for comedic purposes, of course, it would make my Lego Adventure Kit oh so much more hilarious). I think this Lego Kit supports the argument that kids are becoming more unjust with racial fairness. I think there should be some serious changes with Lego,

Re: Lego Adventure Starter Kit
Yellow is not white!
LEGO created the yellow figs as non race specific to avoid this very subject look at the native American figs .....yellow, the pirate islanders again yellow. Have you ever met a yellow person ?
LEGO chose yellow because it was concidered a neutral colour and that's how I see them.

“Have you ever met a Yellow person?”
Yes, in fact I actually have. He had a terrible skin disorder… Of course, he was underneath that skin disorder, a Caucasian person. Now, to support my argument, I would like to say, that the Muppet Show, not only has YELLOW muppets, but it also has BLACK muppets, which covers ALL bases. (Although, they do have the occasional blue muppet, which I honestly can’t understand what that could possibly represent,) but my point is, that they DON’T have White Muppets, the closest thing is Yellow.

Re: Lego Adventure Starter Kit
LEGO did not create the Muppets or the Simpsons or any other yellow based characters. What I posted is TLG's reason for yellow figs.
We can split hairs till the cows come home but I think your question has been answered. If you want colours other than yellow then you'll need to buy licenced sets where flesh tones are closer to real life and then you can have your diversity.Note you won't see yellow in these sets representing caucasian people......savvy.

Re: Lego Adventure Starter Kit
My favourite 'muppet' is Elmo.
Am I to read something sinister into the fact that he is red?
Also, Grover is blue.
Does this mean that he is a Danish nudist in December?

@TazMan:
Whilst you continually split hairs, trying to cover up the fact Lego is racist, you try and get me to purchase licensed sets, but I do not believe there is a licensed set of American Idol, if I need to buy a licensed set just to buy a black character I think that is unjust.
@brickie
Elmo was designed by a communist party in America. They believed Elmo’s love and affection towards kids would attract them to the colour red, i.e. communism.
As for Grover, Grover is a Muppet character on the popular television show Sesame Street. Self-described as lovable, cute and furry. Furry? Google Furry, or Furries on Google Images with safe search turned off my friend. That is WORST then a “Danish Nudist in December”.

I think you may have joined the wrong forum buddy, this is a LEGO fan site. As for splitting hair I don't believe I'm doing that just telling it how it is.
Peace out!

Re: Lego Adventure Starter Kit
I don’t believe I am on the wrong Forum, I used to love Lego, have you played the Playstation Lego games? I thought they were great, they had Pirates and Ninja’s on them. I like Pirates and Ninjas, some people think Ninjas are better but Pirates have Vessels and I like Vessels. Although, if you have ever read Robinson Crusoe you would know Pirates are alcoholics, if have ever lived with an alcoholic you would know it’s not all sea shanty’s and plankwalking. 1 in 5 deaths in Australia are related with Drug and Alchohol abuse, did you know that?
Anyways, I recommend you stop splitting hairs and we have a Peaceful conversation without your constant harassment.

Re: Lego Adventure Starter Kit
In reality, I love my hundreds of little yellow minifigs.
My grandchildren and I can turn them into anything we like; any culture, any city and any society.
It doesn't matter what part of the world we are discussing and building, the little yellow minifigs are there.
They are present at an Australian BBQ, a PNG village, a Danish nudist camp or an Indian teepee.
I believe that our illustrious impostor should take his/her silly theories and go contact the CIA or maybe the KBG. Don't contact ASIO as they are having a long weekend.

Re: Lego Adventure Starter Kit
I personally believe Lego is to be enjoyed by everyone, as Brickie pointed out. I just wondered if anyone else thought Lego was racist, but before I can say anything, Moderators like peterab come and attack me. I understand now that Yellow Lego figurines were created to avoid linking them to any particular race, but let’s go in our Time Machine to Denmark 1934. Back in these times, racism was acceptable (compared to now, take that Paulene Hanson!) and another terminology for Chinese people were “Yellow Skins”. The fact that there were only Yellow Lego characters (and eventually the Skeleton Figure) indicates that the creator of Lego must have been working for the Chinese… Or maybe he just liked Chinese people… Or maybe he had a Chinese next-door neighbor or something. He could have even had a best friend in Primary School that was Chinese!
