Frequently on LEGO sites people have been referring to their "dark age" or "second dark age". And I was just wondering what it meant. legohappy

A "Darkage" is refering to when someone stops buying/building/Chatting about LEGO and pursues other interests such as members of the opposite gender (generally If you're a TFOL Regarding the LEGO "dark age" 285605 Regarding the LEGO "dark age" 753983 ), Busy at work and Other hobbies.

Second darkage is when someone who went through a darkage and starts building/buying/talking about LEGO again but then enters into another darkage. Regarding the LEGO "dark age" 285605

Most people go through darkages in their teen years because "its uncool to play with lego" or they're busy with schoolwork etc.

As an example my 'dark age' was 1983 - 1995. I got back into lego when I saw some of the new Exploriens space sets. In the meantime I missed most of the classic town sets I'd really like to have now. legoheadbang
