Struggling for ideas about train track related buildings

Hi all just wanting to know what kind of buildings do you have around you Lego train layout? as i am really struggling for ideas.
i have a 3 little train stations and a Train shed but that's about it. i want to get rid of the harry potter buildings etc and just keep  it as a industrial train layout.






Im thinking i should add a cargo port were boats can drop of cargo & maybe signal control towers.
Not quite sure what other train   type buildings  you would see around a Dock/Industrial train yard
Any ideas?

Meat Works, The train drops live Cows off and takes processed meat and carcases away. I'm going to build one in my city someday.
Also Cement Works, same thing....train drops off raw cement ingredients takes cement pillars, slabs etc away.

I like the sounds of a Cement works   thanks for the idea , i might also add in a mail sorting facility were the trains pick up mail to be transported to the docks.

Ooo a mail sorting facility, that's a good idea.... I'd love to see that in a layout!
