I just thought i'd share these images from MLCad of one of my latest MOCs. I've ordered most of the parts, but am having trouble finding a few of the others. I'll build it up as soon as i can and take some real photos of it. I still have to 'garden up' the outside edges a bit. It'll probably get used in a larger MOC, along with a bridge and other little bits and pieces i've designed.

Wow, that is beautiful. Great use of the fences, although even with the detailed picture, I can't see how they are attached on the sides.

You really do have some gorgeous details in it, can't wait to see it built.

Nice Pavillion, it will fit in nicely with your Japanese garden pieces.

I'm confused about the connection of the lower windows. I assume they are window shutters held in by friction. I suspect that would be a delicate balancing act to get them all in place at the same time in real brick.

Argg, LT don't lead the members astray legosmile2 Seriously though I'm sure this would be popular on EB too, but please keep posting here as well. We can be a quiet forum at times, and that will only change when we get a critical mass of quality posters. Each ANZFOL member that posts an interesting Moc despite a relatively small reaction helps make the forum more active and more attractive to new members.

Thanks for the nice comments everyone! legohappy I thought the construction of the corners might be a bit confusing. Maybe this image will help:

MOC - Garden Pavilion (MLCad) ExplodedCorner

The lattice work is actually a 1 x 4 x 2 Fence/Gate (part no. 3186). Sure, the 1 x 6 Plate and Tile are only held on by one stud, but i figure that they're wedged nicely in-between the floor and the upper frame so they shouldn't budge too much.

Oh, and thanks for the offer of joining EB, but i'm a one-forum kind of guy. Besides Lego, i'm also into scale model car kits in a big way, and i'm only on one forum for that too. legolaugh

Thanks again Anita! legohappy

I've now ordered all the parts from Bricklink. But because 95% of the pieces are white (and therefore to minimise any discolouration, i wanted as many 'New' condition parts as possible), i've had to order from THREE different sellers! o.O

There's only four parts i still need to buy and they're the Lattice Window Pane (part no. 30046) in white. Although being $3+ EACH, i may need to consult with Mrs. haz before purchasing. legolaugh

Outstanding work! I normally don't get much out of digital MOCs, but this is really clever. That window piece is quite scarce in my collection - I only have two of them from my Metroliner - but I'll certainly have to pinch that window idea for something. A wonderful model, I look forward to seeing it completed in physical bricks.

That is a really clever window design. That gate piece was quite common in the 70's so I have lots (particularly in red) so I'm pretty sure I'll find a new use for them now.

Thanks guys!

I have some of those gates (and fences) in red too, but they're in my 'old' parts collection. I don't like to mix them into my newer parts. Does anyone else seperate old and new parts, or am i weird? legolaugh

With any luck (all three BL orders arriving in time), i'll have this one 99% completed to display at the September AdeLUG meeting.

I keep my old grey separate but mix pretty much everything else. I do try and use newer bricks on any outward facing walls etc.

Well THIS hasn't taken it's time! :P I'll just blame a slow BrickLink order and let the pictures do the talking.

I still need to order the Arched Lattice panels to go in the Arched Windows, but other than that, it's complete. Oh, and i plan on doing some more paving and gardening too. legohappy

As always, any comments or questions are welcome.

Looks great in real brick, and I like your choice of minifig but dread to know what she might be growing in there.
