SWMinis - (iPhone app For Lego Star Wars Minifig Collectors)
Hi Australia and New Zealand - I have been collecting Lego Star Wars minifigs for a long time, looked at my collection and thought - "there isnt an app for that" so I learned objective C and made one for the iPhone/ iPad in my spare time. The picture taking was as much work as the coding. You can now find the app in the app store - its called SWMinis - search specifically for that, or minifig. Key features:
- See every lightsaber, blaster, pistol, crossbow, spear, binicular that goes with each figure
- If the head is hidden by a helmet, you can see a head off to to the side to know if its yellow, flesh, brown, or a dual head like Zam or Lobot
- Rate every figure with your own personal rating and organize them by rating
- Tag each fig as owned or not owned
- See all the set numbers, and bricklink code, name, and description, and number of styles of a particular figure (i.e. 20 for Luke)
To my surpise Apple seemed to like it and recognized it as a new and noteworthy app in six countries so far. I hope more fans hear about it and let me know what you think. I am working on a native iPad version now. Its 2x in iPad but does support retina display. The local adult fan club I am with contributed some good ideas to help me with it.
