MOC - ANZ Bank (art deco style)

While the white is probably pretty accurate (at least a lot of these deco buildings were painted white later) I think this would look cool with some dark tan detailing around the doorway arch.

A lot of the stone in Melbourne was painted white during the 60's, but some is being sandblasted back now. There were also some patterned brickwork buildings here, but I imagine they are rarer in SA given the amount of local sandstone around.

I can't quite make out how you've built the bits either side of the door, but I imagined there were 1x2 tiles facing out, which would be easy to replace with dark tan. Over the door it looks like you've used bricks which might be harder to replace, but the central stripe would look good in dark tan too. Could also work in dark gray.

Obviously that all depends on if you want to and have the bricks, and it looks great anyway, so there no need to do it, I just thought it might look good.

I think the tan made a great difference, especially the diamond in the centre. It really reinforces the art deco style.

And love the phone booth.

I have always liked this creation from the first time I saw it but never said anything until now so having said that I am glad to see a photocopier and hope that you find that phone booth !!!
