Ahoy! Empty Ahoy!

Post by ennjay Fri 02 Jul 2010, 3:27 am

Greetings from sunny Wagga in southern NSW.

My name's Nick, I'm 23 and I'm a recently relapsed Lego-addict. My hiatus from Lego was something like 12 years and I'm very sorry that it ever happened because I missed a lot of cool sets in that time. Mid last year I re-discovered my inner child and my love of Lego and I've been getting back into it since.

Unfortunately for me, my first love of Lego, Pirates, has come to an abrupt halt just as I was getting back into things. My second love, Space, is still is full swing, and thankfully gives me something to collect, build and play with until Pirates sees a resurgence or another theme takes my fancy.

Cheers,
NJ

Welcome scoundrel!
Pleased to see you out of your dark age, and great to have another pirate fan onboard. Wagga isn't too far from Canberra where Brick Expo will be held in August. It would be great to see you, we'll have a big pirates setup on display full of amazing MOCs.
Anyway, welcome to the good ship ANZFOL, and if you ever need anything, just give us a shout. legopirate

It's fantastic, isn't it?! My inner child is helped along by my daughters!! legohappy Hope you enjoy your stay here. Have you picked up 10210? If not and you have the money, this would be a great way to fuel your Pirate's passion!! Myer's has them in stock at my local. Last time I was there they were 20% off, saving nearly $100.

Thanks for the warm welcome!

I have indeed acquired 10210 but it's yet to be built. In fact, if I had the means, I would probably buy a couple more given that Pirate sets are becoming pretty scarce in these parts, our local Myer still has a few left and they are tremendous value while on sale. I'll keep dreaming about that anyway.

Hi, Glad to see you've joined the ranks of fellow AFOLs. Its an addictive passion. Pirates are great, the 10210 is a fantastic set and I find I'm always admiring it.

So am I and I'm not even a Pirate fan!! It does look fantastic, but alas, there's no room in my City for a sailing ship.
