The LEGO Movie

Now it's finally here in oz what did you think people? There was trailers and spoilers a bound so did it live up to the hype?

Yes it was all* CG but done by Australian company Animal Logic (won academy award for Happy Feet).

IMO It was better than I expected. I was expecting a lot with all the $ and talent thrown at it. You could see the $ on screen and in the voice acting but the story was surprisingly really good.


* Only TLM competition entries and the closing titles were stop motion

In my humble opinion, I thought that the ending was great. While watching the movie, I had thought about a number of possible ways to end it e.g. Emmet and Lucy get married, etc.

I just didn't even think of the way it ended.

There was even a message in there for AFOLs.

A great movie.

What I thought was funny was that it was the only kids movie full of dads.

Well, you can see where the second film will take off from.....Duplo Wars ! LOL
My wife gave it 8/10, my son loved it and I have seen it too on my own !

So we will see a whole range of TLM duplo sets come out as well.

I read a few really positive reviews by AFOLs so I was expecting it to be very good. I found it to be OK but in the end a kids movie. The CG was good though.

Well I really enjoyed it. At first I was a bit underwhelmed by the first half (aside from the first 10 minutes, seeing that awesome LEGO city made salivate!) but I think it got better as the story went on. I certainly wasn't expecting that end so that was a nice surprise....

All in all I think they did an amazing job, can't wait for the next one

I liked the first half of the movie but it sort of came apart in places.

  

I need to borrow someone's kid to go watch it, I wont go by myself. Actually If I wait a few weeks I can watch it on DVD.

I started too watch it, but couldn't get past that annoying song at the start.

I have nightmares about that song

My partner and I do use the song from time to time as a vehicle for sarcasm though, so it does have its uses  :skull transform .

LoL, it is great for sarcasm!  

Everything is awesome.... everything is cool when you're crossing the street.... hehe

I loved the waved, just magic, film left you with a great feeling about teamwork, working tgether etc, great for kids with a few in-jokes for the adults that had to take them :D
