Re: Lego City Sets 2013
I want the cement truck and the tow truck, I think I'll skip all the fire sets though.
I never got around to modding the current tipper truck into a flatbed tow truck like I planned, now I don't have to bother. It is a bit silly that the car only just fits on this one, but that's easy fixed. Its a great looking car though.
I only just got my hands on the old blue cement truck, maybe he'll have some competition now.

Converting trucks into flat beds like that is very hard, good choice in waiting for this new one.
I too have a blue cement truck.......CEMENT WARS !

Re: Lego City Sets 2013
How cool do these sets look?! I love all things Fire, but I think I'll just get the burning house. As for the other civil vehicles, I really like them, although I think I'll just get the flatbed. I have the blue cement mixer as well, but I'm interested in seeing the design of the cement chute on the new version.

Re: Lego City Sets 2013
I like what I see especially the new look tanker.
A pity there no other alternatives such as BP, Caltex, Mobil, Shell and the many other fuel providers as I am sure a wider range would appeal to many of us
I have added a few more to my wish list as well but like everybody will wait til they arrive and then buy, buy, buy over again

Re: Lego City Sets 2013

Ah, maybe one day a Shell tanker might come back and who knows maybe also that one day a car yard with different cars in it.

Re: Lego City Sets 2013
Go for it and MOC one.....oh, yeah car dealers aren't that easy to do sometimes.....look at my old ones !
Anyway, this is heading off-topic isn't it ?
Things to note.
1.) Cement Truck is a cab over......and it tilts.
2.) Tanker driver doesn't have an Octan torso but a mechanic's one instead.
3.) Only 4 females in this release of city.....when will they learn !

Yep, dam right.
I'm happy to see so many useful pieces in these sets, especially those 1x3 curved slopes.

Re: Lego City Sets 2013
Be interesting to see two things.....the missing 14th City set and what the mid-year sub-theme will be.....rumoured to by either cargo, coast guard or construction.....well we'll have to wait and see eh ?

Re: Lego City Sets 2013
Does this fire station look better than the last? I need to get one soon but can't choose between the two.
I like the burning building set but a little disapointed with the rest. The small car is cute. I wish the Museum set included a museum not just a front door. Only one small crappy tree in all sets and no other plants or flowers.
Also how does everyone incorperate different coloured police in their cities?

Re: Lego City Sets 2013
Personally I think you would be better off buying the Fire Station Modular Building as it has way more character to it
I bought the last one and feel quite ripped off by it as it doesn't connect to the base plates in a straight line which creates added expenses
Just depends on what your pocket can afford and the desired effect you want to obtain throughout your layout !!!

Silly me I forgot about the 'Fancy Fire Station', I will probably get a regular station as well as there are so many fire cars and trucks that some of them will need a home base. Im leaning towards the new one, hmm maybe?

Can't agree more.. LEGO BRING BACK SHELL OR EVEN EXXON! Sorry if I'm offending anyone but personally I can't stand generic Octan and almost totally avoid buying it. On a different note I love the new sets with burning stuff, in particular 60010 Fire Helicopter (mainly because of the cool ground part). The motorcycle with the burning bin is rather cute and the house is ok. Like the boats also but will they float on the water...?
Re: Lego City Sets 2013
Just remember the modular one you can't really play with !

Re: Lego City Sets 2013
Very nice. I personally like the fire station - it looks like it would fit into a LEGO city easier than the previous one (in terms of base plate layout). That and the hospital that was released earlier this year are two things definitely on my wish list.

Lego City Elite Police Sets 2013
I didn't realsie that they were the 'Elite' police, maybe I can use these sets in my city layout, I didn't want to upset my old police by introducing new uniforms . Now they need to make an Elite police headquarters, actually that might be a fun MOC to create.

I can't understand what makes these police more 'elitle' than the last Lego police force.
Must the the bulletproof vests?
