Gallery/ MOC pages
I think this has been voiced here before but It would be sweet to see every ones creations without having to wade through countless pages(not countless yet but give me time).
Can this be done and maintained ?
I'm happy to help out where I can.

Re: Gallery/ MOC pages
What do you mean? Something hosted on ANZFOL? Or what about an ANZFOL Flickr group?
Re: Gallery/ MOC pages
It would be nice to have our banner flying above them, I was thinking like pages of just MOCs no comments allowed gathered from through-out the forum..... Maybe sub themes with in the "gallery" with albums for each.
Would be a bit of work to set up and maintain but could look really sweet.
Good eye candy for visitors that is easily accessable ???

Re: Gallery/ MOC pages
Maybe, but is there a an ANZFOL folder there?
( please excuse my lack of knowledge I've only just returned form a long dark age).
My main reason for asking was because when I started looking for local MOCs and layouts online I had little luck finding a dedicated site/page for images, we are visual beings so I just thought such a thing may boost public interest and membership.
just a thought.

Re: Gallery/ MOC pages
Sadly, I feel there isn't enough AFOL's willing to upload what ever they design out there and also there are the AFOL's that just collect and build whats on the box, then leave it at that. I wonder what the Captain thinks ?

Re: Gallery/ MOC pages
Perhaps Pirate Comp would give us an idea of who's building out there (wink wink nudge nudge).

Re: Gallery/ MOC pages
While it's a good idea in theory, the problem I see is that no-one will have the time to maintain it. I'm far too busy, and I'm sure everyone else is too.
The easy solution I have is an ANZFOL Flickr group that everyone can tag their uploads in. No?

Re: Gallery/ MOC pages
That does seem to be a good idea Captain, but what about.......
I'm not on flickr, but I am on BS as well as MOCpages, that's another place as well a group could be held.

Re: Gallery/ MOC pages
MOCpages is indeed a possibility, but I tend to like the Flickr layout much better. Flickr is also more reliable than both Brickshelf and MOCpages, and to the best of my knowledge, more AFOLs use Flickr as a home base as opposed to MOCpages now days.
Re: Gallery/ MOC pages
True, I get only a few comments on MOCpages, so flickr might just be the ticket.
