I've always loved the Millennium Falcon which I see is darker than mine so is there any chance you could take a photo of it by itself.

Also I can't see a Chewbacca minifigure anywhere which I find a bit odd !!!

Chewie and Han Solo surely must be together legowink

Nice collection. What do you think of the current crop of Star Wars sets coming on the market. Beside the price, do you think they are much improved?

yeah I'm not really keen on the clone wars stuff, though I've bought most the new mid sized stuff for my son.
As for the original trilagy sets I've bot pretty much all the new sets except "Endor" because I've got speeder bikes and an ATST already and I cant justify $200 for the bunker n figs ( I would buy it if I was rich).
So It really depends on the set unfortunatly they're running out of ideas from the original trilagy and seem to be releasing the same sets over and over each time with something cool added to make you go
"ooh that's really cool I gotta have it even though I've got 2 others almost the same".
so I guess my answer is yes, except the clone stuff but I guess I'm not the target market for that series ( I'm a bit of a starwars purist / old bastard )

never seen Hoth base in store, and Endor's never been on sale here so until that happens no.
I've got the best bits of those sets already.

I'm a bit like TazManiac.....I only buy the New Hope, Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi series of Star Wars LEGO.

It's a damn shame I have never seen Luke's Land-speeder in our local shops because I would be tempted to buy it.

Also have my eye on Boba Fett's Slave 1 having seen it marked at 20% off.

"Endor" sale price $199(toy world Hobart)....... that's rrp if I'm not mistaking?
I've seen pics of Hoth base, but I've got a snowspeeder and turret from other sets so I never worried about it.

I got my Endor for 160 bucks, because the store put it on sale a week too early and they had a 20% off storewide sale......LUCKY TIGER eh ?
That Hoth base comes with the rare white droid minifig though and it was only 99 bucks for the whole thing.
At least a new V wing comes out early next year.

We all must be showing our age, I also love the classic series only. In fact I'm not even a big fan of ep 1,2,3. I bought slave 1 as I thought it looked great + I like the look of the boba Fett. Generally though due to the price I don't buy Star Wars sets, unless they look excellent or a hugely discounted (rare).

Fishpond had a special many months ago for the Endor set at around $110- $120. Lately they have'nt had any huge discounts.

Is Myer prolific in Tasmania? I've found I've spent the most at Myer this year, due to their buy 2 get 1 free deals etc. Good value, but sometimes it ends up you have 3 of something and you have to seel it on ebay.

Hobart Myer burnt down and after the rebuilt doesn't seem to have much of a toy department and I've yet to experience their 2 for one sale here but will keep an ear out.

i've found big W great for crazy discounts 50% off including SW.

Big W is an interesting place for bargains. Come to think of it. Although the price does change and will not stay cheap forever. Case in point, they had very sweet clearance prices on a lot of Lego sets in the middle of the year, Some people managed to pickup the wind turbine transport for $25. then after the sale, its shot back up to $58. I couldn't find any wind turbine transport and when I did find one at one Big W, it was back to full price.

Gotta be quick, and a bit lucky...

Here in Victoria we here about the clearance prices but rarely see them as the stock just doesn't exist. I'm pretty sure they use it to clear out stock in remote areas after Victoria has already sold out. We did see some clearances on Toy Story 3 and POP though. I guess they didn't sell very strongly anywhere.

Does anybody think highly of the Limited Edition Tantive VI as I have spotted one for sale which appears to be a possible Lay-By purchase that has very likely been cancelled.

It is in good condition however I am disheartened by it because of the fact that only five minifigures come with it and no Darth Vader.

I already have a few C-3PO's, R2 D2's and some Princess Leia's so what does everybody else think about it before I contemplate buying it for myself.

Cheers....Free Spirit

Not a bad first effort there for showing off your collection. Just a quick note for future reference.

Having a brickshelf account is a good idea. I have one. The best thing about it is you can take multiple pics of each set.....if you look at my thread on my brickshelf gallery you will see for yourself what I mean. Then all you do is post the link to your BS gallery and everyone can see pics of your sets individually and if you have any points of interest or even want to make certain points about a set you can do so easier with pics of that certain area showing what you are refering to.

If you take a look at my set reviews you will see what I mean.
