ANZFOL audit
This site needs a massive cleanup.
let's face the reality; it's a quiet place, and we dont need the volume of sub-topics that exist. over the last 6 months, only about 5 main topics/areas are being utilised.
This place needs a spring clean, it may actually attract people if it is seen as a simple and functional place. At the moment, we have a page of sub-topic areas, some without activity for over 3years!
I would:
-place any topic that hasnt been read for 18months into an archive section
-reduce the sub-topic groups to as little as possible. if we need expansion we can do it later
spring clean for 2014

Re: ANZFOL audit
As a new contributor, the format exactly as is is what attracted me. I suppose it's a question for the managers of the site to consider.

Re: ANZFOL audit
Having been here for a long time now I can say that we only have a small handful of members in the dozens where Eurobricks and Brickset are in the many thousands so there is more activity I'm not sure if making any changes will bring more visitors and new members to ANZFOL.

Re: ANZFOL audit
i dont care if it attracts 100s of visitors, but for the ones that use it regularly it could be more streamlined for efficiency

Re: ANZFOL audit
Though it takes a lot of time and effort to fix it the way you say it should.....but who is going to do it just for a handful of us ?

Re: ANZFOL audit
Just add some posts to older threads. Problem solved!

That's another way of looking at the problem/issue.

Re: ANZFOL audit
This place really seems to be dead most of the time. I know that the various other forums and Facebook groups seem to be where most people are posting
Re: ANZFOL audit
People are just busy reading and looking at photos that's all

Haha
Are there really Facebook groups that are more lively than here? I don't have a Facebook account anymore....

Re: ANZFOL audit
It is a smaller scene than most, and not universal to Aussie AFOLs. Which is fine. I don't think complaining about the rate of contributions will raise the amount of contributions, however.

Re: ANZFOL audit
What a great discussion!
Yes, there are only a few regular contributors to ANZFOL, but it is quality rather than quantity.
As LT would say, "Keep on bricking."

Re: ANZFOL audit
I'm pretty new here. I have noticed it's extremely quiet which is good for me as I can digest the past threads/posts a lot more easy. Have recently become a member of Eurobricks and gotta say I am not a fan. It's too busy and confusing as you have to spend all day reading the newest posts. Having come back to Lego recently, I don't know a lot about it but will try and contribute where I can.

Reventon,
I would agree. I only have a small amount of time each day on a computer and I enjoy reading about what people I 'know' are doing in the LEGOverse.
