Been to the doctor.......
I don't want to think too much about where this illness I've been living with for the past ten years might be taking me, but one thing my doctor agrees with me about is that it's very good for me to be making models from Lego. Some days I have problems with my memory and my ability to concentrate on things and that along with the joint and muscle pain and general fatigue can be a right pain. Lego is so good for me because the problem solving and the whole 3D jigsaw puzzle thing keeps my brain active and stops me dwelling on feeling unwell.
When I was younger I was into the whole finescale model making thing which I really enjoyed only once I became ill my ability to do fine work became more difficult as time went on. For a while working to a larger scale solved some of the problems, but it's Lego and building the railway models I love from plastic bricks that has been truly a life saver for me. This forum (as well as Eurobricks) plays a big part too in helping to keep my mind in a good space and I love to see the models that forum members have been working on. So thanks everyone and as LT says, 'Brick on!'

Re: Been to the doctor.......
Glad to hear it's a big help for you Annie. Trust me I been through a few health wars so my heart really goes out to you on this matter. Basically Lego is good clean healthy (mostly for mind) fun. The perfect toy for kids and adults alike really. Only downside I can see is money-wise >_< (feeling that side of it these days)
Here's some flowers just for you They just happen to make a familiar logo lol

Thank you Kaila I love the classic space symbol created with Lego flowers, - I bet that took a while to do.
My daughter is staying with me at the moment and she said to me the other day that if she can hear the Lego bricks rattling she knows that I'm doing ok that day. Money is always a problem with this hobby which is why I'm often very naughty and buy clones direct from China on a free postage discount deal. But I won't talk about that anymore as I don't want to annoy Brickie.
