I find that while I check on here almost everyday, most of my time is spent on EB and our local Lego groups on Facebook.
I guess as my main focus is Lego Technic I find it better to stick in those forums which have an active Technic community.

Well, this isn't the most active Lego forum on the net.

Im still here 
just been in Japan since xmas day, will return on Feb 3rd. I managed to check out Lego prices here and as expected they are cheaper. Took some photos of the sets and prices but wont be able to upload them until I return.
A good example is Red cargo train 3677 for $145. Being a foreigner i can get a 5% discount on that also. Sure the dollar is around 91yen but its still much cheaper than the $230 i paid in Myer
That new burning building set is $30 and 10225 R2D2 is $201 here. Also found the yellow cargo train for $180 and red passenger for $125. I already have these sets and dont have the funds for doubles regrettably.
The one train i REALLY wanted to get cheap here was the new Horizen express but just my luck its been delayed till early Feb ;_; so i`ll miss out and most likely have to get ripped off it seems.
Heard some bad news that its been flooding in Brisbane in last few days, hope the house is ok since its near breakfast creek >.<
Anyway guys i`ll be sure to post proper upon return, bye all

My workplace is near breakfast creek, and I can tell you the flooding hasn't been as bad as the 2009 & 2011 floods. Congratulations on your purchases.

I was ill all through Christmas and New Years and I'm only just getting back on my feet now. I've got a pile of stuff that came in from Bricklink in a storage crate that haven't even looked at yet including a 7898 set which I've been wanting for ages.
I'm starting to think about my railway projects again and I'm trying to figure out where I left off and which tray of bricks and bits belongs to which project. I get cheap plastic trays from the $2 & $3 shops and do my railway builds on them so I can just stack them to one side if I'm held up waiting for parts. Amazing how they can all look the same when they haven't been looked at for a couple of months.

Melbourne is pretty much a ghost town during January, so I'm not surprised this forum is a little quite too. There's always a solution though, post an exciting thread yourself.
I've been a little quite myself because pre Brickvention there's a lot to do, and post Brickvention It takes me a few weeks to recover. I had hoped to show off the post office I built but it didn't make it into the car in one piece and will need a rebuild. It could take a little while since I might make it modular and fit out the interior. I think my next show is in March though so I better get onto it.

I've been busy designing my first MOC. The most difficult task is deciding whether to half-arse it or go full-out and buy windows. Will probably need to go on a trip to Bricks n Fun in order to get some parts sometime later this week. Why does it have to be so far away from where I live D:

LOL Annie and yeah strange that weekdays seem more busy around here. Funny thing is sometimes when I check the stats down the bottom of the main page there are like 12 lurkers to a ratio of 1 registered. Maybe shyness is a factor?

Yes I noticed that too Kaila, - workdays seem to be busier here on the forum and weekends go quiet. I wonder if boredom at work leads forum members to do a little internet surfing on the boss's time whereas on the weekend everybody is out and about doing stuff and not sitting in front of the computer.
