Early tomorrow, a small intrepid band of LEGOnians at Bricks n Fun will pack the trailer with the display tables, children's viewing stands, bollards and chains and we will head up the range to Toowoomba.

Hopefully we will be at the Toowoomba Showgrounds just after lunch. There we will be met by the 'mountain men' who will help set up the tables.

After that, it is time to put our own part of the display together. It is always a nervous moment to look in a box to see if the creation has survived the drive.

We shall be joined during the afternoon and night by other BLTG members who will head up the hill for the 2 hour drive after they finish work.

Some members are driving up very early Saturday morning to set up before the 9am kickoff.

'Brick Vegas' will be slightly different this time from what we presented at AMRA in Brisbane a month ago as we have to allow for some members not being able to make it up the hill and others being available.

it is a bit like the date for Easter; a moveable feast.

The local paper had an article the other day about the model train show; it made specific mention of the 'interactive Lego display'.

On Saturday night we will be having a dinner [ somewhere ] so that we can celebrate the enjoyment that the display brought to the children and adults.

There are always many stories to share about comments and reactions from the crowd.

On Sunday we will repeat the fun again before packing up at 4pm. Hopefully we will be heading down the hill at 6pm. It is amazing how much quicker it is to pack up than to set up.

Once we have unloaded the trailer at Bricks n Fun, it is time to go home for a beer - or two or three.

We are all looking forward to a great weekend.

A great weekend was had by all.

The display turned out great and the dinner on Saturday night was wonderful.

It was great to see people from all over SE Qld gather to celebrate the little plastic brick.
