It's free, it gets rid of those annoying unrelated ads when browsing the boards, and it only takes a few seconds to set up before you can start posting and discussing LEGO with the great ANZFOL community!

We look foward to seeing you on the boards!

Hello All

The idea for a series of workshops was first suggested some months ago, as a way to spread and share ideas amongst BLTG members and other interested people. Unfortunately at the time preparations for the upcoming recent Brisbane train show took priority and the workshops were deferred.

The inaugural workshop will take place on Thursday night 19 May and will be held at BricksnFun in Capalaba, Gary has have kindly allowed us to use the build room for the workshop, we will also combine the workshop with a meeting to cover preparation and plans for the upcoming Toowoomba Train show and future shows.

The topic of the workshop for the night will be – “9 Volt Cables – Replacing Broken Wires”, if you have any damaged and non operative cables please feel free to bring them along.

The agenda will –

Time – 6.30om for 7.00pm commencement
Introductions and welcome to all new recent members
Workshop
Supper – Coffee/Tea/ Soft Drink etc will be available to purchase from Bricks n Fun
Wrap up workshop and suggestions for future workshop topics
General discussion on layout for Toowoomba and future shows for this year
Shopping

To enable Gary to adequately setup the build room and ensure enough coffee etc could you please RSVP to bricksnf@tpg.com.au no later than 18 May.

Hi Ken,

I recently joined the forum here and I just wanted to say I think the idea of Lego work shops is a great idea. I'm not so much a Lego train fan however, I don't know anything about them, in fact I only recently learnt that they existed from a video I watched on-line.

Kind regards, A. Reid

What a great night was had by all.

There were a dozen AFOLs there during the night from all over Brisbane and surrounding towns.

Ken gave a brilliant explanation on how to open the 9v plugs and replace the frayed wires.

I'm about to head off to buy some speaker wire and try out my new found skills { I hope ].

The fellowship was wonderful and great progress was made with preparations for the next model train show in Toowoomba in 2 weeks.

Many thanks to Ken for the 'lesson' and gary for the use of Bricks n Fun.
