Re: My Lego City
Hey y'all....
Unfortunately i have made little progress with my town this weekend, however i have finished and finally uploaded some pics to flickr of my Cafe Corner MOC interior!! You may remember I Bricklinked my Cafe Corner and have just finished putting the finishing touches to it, so it now sitting very pretty in Brixton Valley. (Now also with white windows on the top floor (not the expensive ones)) Anyway, check out my flickr, and here's a couple of pics for those who cbf to click the link in my signature
The Cafe! Grab a coffee and a burger, take a seat outside or on the couches inside and enjoy the atmosphere of the Cafe Corner!!!!
All rooms are fitted with a double bed, a desk and stool and a toilet, with 3 rooms in total; 1 on the 1st floor and 2 on the second floor.
And the reception on the first floor along with the guest's sitting room, enjoy a book and take in the view of the city from the big couch!
Hope you like it

Re: My Lego City
Right so, early June has been and gone and I'm still not much closer to finishing my layout, however I did some work on it today and am hoping to finish it off over the next few days, but I have taken another teaser shot for y'all...
Note the construction workers, they are working over time to try and finish things off, but they will soon run out of materials, so they may feature as part of the layout....
More pics soon tho

Re: My Lego City
Right so finally it's update time.... Here are some pics and there's been some big changes!
The modular street
The new suburban section!
A gang of youths outside the skate shop. But this gives you a good view of the new pavement and parking spots...
And lastly my sigfig enjoying a brew at his favourite coffee shop in town!
More photos on my flickr and here is a video I put together too:
Love to know what you all think!

AARRRRGGGGG......WHOHOOOOOOOOO LOUD ENOUGH FOR YA! jk.
City is looking good, You have added a lot over the last few months....Im pretty jealous of all your new Modulars. I will have some new pic updates soon, probably this week, it will only be of actual buildings etc as I still need to clear a space to start my layout. My Mum and Dad have been and gone so my LEGO has started to creep back into my life, It was so hard to hide it all!

Public Library MOD
Hey all,
I decided to add my MOCs and MODs to this topic rather than make a new one each time, and given all of my MOCs will find somewhere in my city to nestle is makes sense
So recently I bought the modular Town Hall and realised very quickly a town cannot have two Town Halls, so I decided to tunr the old Town Hall from 10184 into a Public Library for the citizens to enjoy
So here it is, as per usual with my MODs, I tried to stay as true to the original as possible. It is 32 x 32 with nothing much out the back.
The bottom floor is the main section of the library with most of the books from all eras.
The second floor has study desks as well as the older books, the librarian calls this the 'serious' part of the library... Shhhh!
And the top floor is the multimedia area with 4 computers and ample space to sit and read with several couches and a hideous rug which was donated to the library.
I hope you like it and there are many more pics on my flickr photostream, esp of the interior. I must admit by the time I got to the top floor I got sick of the interior, so it's not 100% finished... But the first two floors I put a lot of work into the interiors.

Re: My Lego City
I'll say it again, I do like those bookcases.....nice interior work 'timmy'.....though I couldn't do that to my town plan since you can't buy another one very cheaply any more.

Re: My Lego City
Thanks LT, the bookcases were my favourite part of the MOD
And if I wanted to I could revert it back to its original state with no problems, the only change is I'm using the two black plates which usually form the roof for my next MOC, but other than that all the original bricks are present, but I know how much you love your open backed city buildings

Re: My Lego City
Very cool and BIG too. Looks a little gothic which I like and the dark green makes for a nice change to most city buildings, nice work on the interior, I only ever do interiors near the windows where you can see in,

Re: My Lego City
Thanks Ajax, it's almost as tall as the Town Hall modular! Yeah I really liked working with the dark green, it's a great colour. And as you may have noticed I get bored with interiors as go along... I start off all gun ho but normally the top floor gets neglected hehe

Re: My Lego City
I realised I forgot to post my new MOC here, it's a modular Music Store and as usual there are more photos on my flickr stream.
It is 32 x 32 and about 3200 bricks. The façade is made entirely out of plates.
The bottom floor is record shop full of CDs and vinyl with a cash register and store room.
The first floor is the musical instrument section of the store, fully stocked with a grand piano, a drum kit, several types of guitars and a couple of other instruments.
The second floor is a recording studio fully equipped with an upright piano, a drum kit, guitars and all the latest recording equipment.
And the roof is where the party's at! With a jacuzzi for all the stars and their groupies, the roof is only accessible via the recording studio.
Anyway, that's the latest addition to my town, although I haven't rearranged things yet to fit it, the Town Hall and the Library in yet.
I'm also thinking of steering clear of Eurobricks, it seems like you have to be in select group of people before your work gets decent praise, has anyone else noticed this cliquieness?

Re: My Lego City

Re: My Lego City
Hello all,
I want to share a quick one with you all, a new edition to my beloved Emerald Night train. I have MOD'd a Second CLass carriage for it, mainly because the tan windows are so expensive, I omitted them for some dark green 1 x 2 x 3s and am quite happy with the result. For now I just made one, but there may be more down the track when I get some more $$, and I may even try my hand at some other types of carriages too (like a mail or third class). Anyway, here it is:
Hope you like it
