Recommend me a lego technic set

Hi all over the last few months i have been buying Lego and really enjoy the building aspect of it.
However i am finding most builds rather boring, and have just lately seen Lego Technic.
I am wanting to buy a set but i don't want to spend hundreds of dollars , as i am unsure if Lego Technic is for me, So i am wondering if anybody can recommend me set for $100 or less (preferably less) that would be a good introduction to the Technic range.

It features what I consider Technic is all about, steering, a V4 engine and the rear which and lifting part. I have two, one built as the main model and the second used for one of my MOCS (soon to be built as the B model)
