moved house... my Collection
ok, so i have moved house, and i finally have my own room! (actually i have a computer room as well, but one is shared)... MY BRICK-LAB!!!!!!!
all the sets have room to breathe, and my brick station has it's own proper home, with room for expansion (mind you, the missus wants to 'control' my lego purchasing now)
here are the pics so far:
my boxed sets. im starting to stray away from star wars i think, but i still want about 5 more sets before i retire collecting it. the 110L tub is 3/4 full of bricks as well
this is my MOC area:
i want to build a modular street, with subway underneath... got bricks anyone?
IMO it's still not enough bricks. i have bought a few huge city sets just to destroy them/part them, and im hunting down more as i go of course. i can hide it better from the missus in the drawers, but once i start buying more drawers that's when im in trouble...............

Re: moved house... my Collection
You must hide the brick from the one with the rolling pin !
Plus you are too organised to be an AFOL !
Oh, well your Lego room looks good.....start building those SW sets and be a big kid !

Re: moved house... my Collection
If you can no longer hide your purchases and/or run out of room in there, there is one easy solution...
Get rid of the missus, then the whole house can be your Lego room.
I give you two months of MOCcing until you have piles of unsorted bricks and your current system fails. It is a nice set up though.
What else do you have on that top shelf?

I wish I had a spare room like that. Oh, and the money to be able to afford to buy large amounts of Lego.

Re: moved house... my Collection
Those plastic slide drawers look quite handy, where you pick them up? I could do with something like that

They sell them at Bunnings warehouse usually around the Shelving/Garage storage area

Thanks for this info Snaplock, how's your Western collection going btw? Did you build those new sets or are they staying in the box?

the ones i purchased are from Kmart.. $10 a tub. the ones at bunnings etc are larger and are more expensive. these are smaller, cheaper imitations of them. the great thing about them is they have 3 variations to choose from. (1 large drawer, 2 side by side and 2 up and down).
the shelving im using is IKEA Besta i think. it's about $160 im using a besta frame without any of the doors options. the size of the Kmart tubs is near perfect for the Ikea shelf...
i need another shelf soon maybe, and more Kmart tubs.... but the missus will notice

I see, well it seems good to have 3 variations and it must give ample space for the larger pieces too then (when using the flatter type). Will be sure to checkout kmart next time I'm nearby, thanks.
