Aparently Choice Mag never heard of AFOL's!!!
Hi all,
My attention was brought to the back cover of the latest issue of 'Choice' magazine.
Obviously the writers and publishers have never heard of AFOL's
Choice: "We are pretty sure most boys over 16 have moved on from Lego..."
They are trying to be funny and smart (back cover is to highlight advertising inaccuracies and peculiarities), but I am not sure whether to get annoyed or laugh it off.

Cheers,
Serkan

Whoever wrote that article didn't understand:
a) The 16+ rating is a only a recomendation, there are KFOLs who are quite capable (and don't find it monotonous) to build these more advanced sets.
b) most obvoiusly, adults also like LEGO!!

Boycott choice I say ^_^ not that I ever used it anyways ..
Re: Aparently Choice Mag never heard of AFOL's!!!
I thought Choice would more be discussing something like the fact Lego is so much more expensive in Australia compared to other parts of the world.

I actually sent an email to Choice, they said it was in jest to point out retailers faults in advertising. They did say sorry for offending.

That doesn't really address the fact that that set _is_ recommended for 16+ so the retailer was correct, and choice got it wrong by assuming otherwise.
Good on ya for having a go anyway
