Re: my trip to Legoland Billund
They have more modulars/UCS sets on display than Australia got all up!
I sure hope you took no clothes over and came back with suitcases full of Lego.

Re: my trip to Legoland Billund
I never knew so many teal coloured bricks even existed.
Maaan... i'm so jealous!
Though I shouldn't be, i'm going to Legoland California later this year.
I'm also really impressed. Everything is on an massive scale, but that means so much potential for details.

I remember going to Legoland California as a child. It was amazing. And it most certainly still is!

Re: my trip to Legoland Billund
jigsaw,
It sounds as if you had a great time.
What was the highlight of the visit for you?
Hopefully, I'll be going there at the end of the year. All I have to do is have my name drawn out of the hat for the LEGO VIP prize. My fingers are crossed but I'm not going to hold my breath.

Re: my trip to Legoland Billund
sorry i havent replied, went away for the weekend..
best part IMO was miniland. that's why i like lego, and i would love to have it in my back yard! most kids probably like the rides, but i loved the scale replicas of cities and towns, with the complex rail network. it probably spanned a football field in total, with about 100 million bricks!
here's some more of miniland:

Jigsaw,
Did you buy anything at the store?
I'm also really impressed by the Star Wars Miniland scenes. The Millenium Falcon Must have been H U G E !

Re: my trip to Legoland Billund
i wanted to buy up big, but since it was at the beginning of the holiday, i didnt want to lug bulk sets around europe and trash them.
i bought 2kg's of PaB (the biggest in the world i believe)
SW tie fighter
SW land speeder
bride/groom set
the lego rose for my wife
lego postcards
what i wanted to buy was a death star
i finally bought her a rose that will never die:

billund, denmark
Pab - Pick a Brick. buy pieces in bulk as the picture above shows. you can buy fences, wheels, bricks etc.. whatever is there ( i cleaned up on computers, and transparent pieces)
no they dont sell discontinued sets. they have rare exclusives, and pretty much everything they make. they pretty much get it first as well. the best stocked lego shop in the world most likely.
i will get back to billund one day.. but next im going to the Legoland Malaysia in November!

Re: my trip to Legoland Billund
It's pretty amazing, but keep in mind that they are closed on Wednesdays. We went on Tuesday and it rained a fair bit. Was planning on going back the next day but they were closed
