Re: Addiction.
We are all addicted to LEGO in our own ways
However my definition of it is when you raise the bar and buy a custom made modular or piece that nobody else owns because you've really become obsessed with the fascination of the brick.
This moment happened at the start of this year after originally been brought up with it as a child and returning to it in 2008 !!!

LOOOOOOOL yes right now Bazron and for me it's the 12v 80's stuff! Got $600 worth on it's way and already bought heaps of the current PF stuff (bit lame compared to the old days meh)
Adding to what Free Spirit is saying, im actually considering to buy the original sealed stuff to keep sealed, perhaps a couple of small train engines or something. Does that mean im officially gone XD

Re: Addiction.
I believe that you are addicted to Lego when you build with it whilst eating a meal.
I became aware of this many years ago and it has continued to this day. *<

Re: Addiction.
^ So does sandwiches count or does it have to be something more awkward like eating chinese with chopsticks? (doesn't really matter I've done both
I don't see LEGO as an addiction, I see it as therapy. One of the very few good ways I justify having a job is it means I can buy LEGO.

I totally agree, not just therapy but it opens your creativity right up. I'm no doctor/professor/psych but I would go so far as to say playing with it is healthy and stimulating for your mind. The power of creation is something very special and endless.
Re: Addiction.
My addiction really took hold last year when I saw the BLTG display at the RNA Showgrounds in Brisbane. Blew me away and set me on the path of "out of control" :D
I remember seeing all the Modulars and MOC's and was just taken in big time.
And now that my carport is a display area rather than somewhere to park the car (if it hails it hails :D) - I knew I'd crossed back over from the Dark Ages

Re: Addiction.
Jasen,
My car hasn't seen the inside of the garage for 2 years now; the space has been taken over by plastic bricks all marked with some lettering. I can just make out an L and an E and a G and one more letter; i just can't read it.
There is a rubbish box in the corner for all those blocks that sneak in with ebay wins that have strange markings starting with M or C or ....

Re: Addiction.
My addiction startd just recently, I wish i could go back a few months and walk straight past the Lego at K mart and not buy that damm City Harbour which started my collection. I remember thinking at the time that it could be a bad decision. Since than I have bought almost every current City set plus most of the recent retired sets.
