MOC - BOC Tradequip Store (U.K.)

This is my prototype for BOC which was started before I received my brief on what they wanted, but they are also interested in this one too !

EDIT - I decided to bring up the later image showing the large gas bottles on pallets and the mig welder in the window......first impressions !

Quick Query -- what are you using for the custom stickers/labels?

(and why, and if you have tried various things any pros/cons for different things?)

Ah, photo sticker paper from Officeworks......it's the first I found and have been an expert with it.

Gas bottles at last....well big ones any way.

Goodness over 700 views in only 4 days, that's more than some of my creations over the last two years !
I guess here I can give a little teaser to at least in part what I have been asked to reproduce in Lego by BOC U.K.


Just a tease remember, I'll ask if I'm allowed to share the creation with the world or not.....since they are paying me to make it.

Okay, so over a 1000 views but no comments......feels like the response to my work on Cuusoo.....a few thousand views with a handful of comments/supports !
Oh, well as a famous person once said 'That's Life' !

Anyway, I am interested to know how you will come up with all the boots and shoe styles aligned on the walls of the picture ???

I heard back from the U.K. tonight, they like everything so far and trust my judgement on it's overall design/look.
I'll try and keep everyone updated with my progress.

Where are these views coming from I have never had almost 10 views per hour every hour every day for almost a week ?
It has gone past the view count of some of my 2010 designs.......oh, well keep reading folks......wouldn't mind some comments from those reading this topic ?

I wonder if a light-grey 1x1 round on top of the gas bottles would look a bit like a valve?

Some of the smaller bottles will have the bases of those 2x1 high antenna/lever on them instead.

No real progress today, funds running very low....might have to sell some sets to keep going.
I hope to have signage printed and applied in the next two days.

I have now mounted the front wall to some large 6 wide plates for stage 1 is nearing completion. Signs are coming along slowly, graphic art is not easy for the basic trained.....

The gas bottle area is also underway....well the roof section is under construction right now. I have decided to use standard Lego construction torso and torso/leg sets for the safety gear/workwear sections of the store. Any suggestions for gas hoses, welding masks, etc,. I would be grateful for them.

I still not know why this is scoring heaps of views more than any other of my creations posted on this website ?
Oh, well....the last logo for the exterior wall is nearly done colouring, tomorrow the top of the wall is finished and paving stage one begins. Of course after which stage two, etc., really begins...so keep watching !

Only a right hand front door and stickers will complete stage one. Man, then I really start on the other stages.....keep watching.
