AUSTRALIA DAY MOC
BLTG will have its first meeting for the year this coming Saturday [28th Jan].
Everyone has to bring along a MOC of Australia Day.
We will have dinner, display and peer judging of MOCs, games, fun, and a short meeting to discuss issues relating to the Brisbane model train show.
It will be a great night and we look forward to seeing everyone in Aussie mode.
I am highly confident that my MOC will crawl all over the others.

On Australia Day, a hotel under a bridge near Brisbane has a very famous event that does involve some crawling and some drinking and some gambling and some chasing women; all to aid charity of course.

Re: AUSTRALIA DAY MOC
I have also been toiling away on what I think will be a great addition to our Ozzie Day meeting and will post pictures after the "Great unvailing".
The main thing I am hoiping for is that more of our members have MOC's to contribute...as the best part of these events is seeing what others have made and how they have made them.

Re: AUSTRALIA DAY MOC
Saturday night was great; there were 15+ members there. Despite the poor weather, we had members arrive with their MOCs from the 4 corners of SE QLD.
The Australia Day MOCs were set up on the tables and each member 'explained' their creation.
The winning entry was the Aussie BBQ by Melody; brilliant.
Second place was the giant thong in the sand by Marcus C; some wonderful 'curvy' building techniques in the thong strap and the sun lotion squeeze bottle.
The speed building in a plastic bag caused a dramatic rise in blood pressure for many; a lot of fun for all.
Thanks to Bricks n Fun for hosting the event.
The next MOC night is on 17th March; "It's da day for da wearing of da green"
Photos of the other great MOCs may be found at
