Finally signed up here
Hello all,
This seems to be where most Aus LEGO discussion happens so I figured I should sign up and say hello.
I'm Tim. I live in Brisbane. I'm probably better known as Gambort which is my usual alias, most notably on The Brothers Brick. But I signed up as TimGould here for some strange reason.
There's a lot more LEGO fans in Brisbane and Australia than I realised.

Yeah Tim not Gambort is doing my head in
He's famous. Builds very nice trains among other things. He was selected as one of the fan designers of the Lego 'Hobby Train'.TazManiac wrote:

I'm pretty new to the online scene so I wasn't to know, as I'm sure many other members here had not heard of him either.........and I'm not into trains so there's even less chance of me seeing his work (which is great by the way).

Thanks all, this forum is very sporadic for responses!
I'm certainly not offended that you don't know me but if you look through my accounts I do build in most themes, not just trains
I highly recommend checking out The Brothers Brick if you haven't already done so. We do the hard work of finding cool LEGO so you don't have to

Indeed, although most Australians I know have better things to do than sit at the computer all day.timgould wrote:Thanks all, this forum is very sporadic for responses!

I didn't mean to laugh at you Tazmaniac, but I did find the situation amusing since Tim has quite a fan following which he seems to have a love/hate relationship with. His blogging on The Brothers Brick makes him a rock star of the online Lego scene. He probably doesn't go unrecognized very often, and I was having a chuckle at his expense more than yours. I guess he probably preferred your nice welcome to some of the fan boy adulation he often gets which was what set me smiling.

Oh that would be the problem... being antisocial I would avoid anywhere that there might be that many Brisbanites.

lol.. true. I do tend to walk around quite a bit in a bubble, so not noticing them is almost the same as avoiding them.
And thanks... now I have 7 years of Brothers Brick to catch up on, lucky it is a long weekend.

^ I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure we're turning six on the 25th June. Although there is a second birthday which covers the predecessor version so a 7 may be right...

Re: Finally signed up here
I just counted down the side, from 2005 to 2011 (but halfway 2005 to half way 2011 would make it 6... luckily maths is not my day job). Only 6 years to get through means I might be finished by Monday lunch time.
