Buildings (sorry being a thread hog) Empty Buildings (sorry being a thread hog)

Post by AnitaE Sat 23 Apr 2011, 2:40 pm

Ok, I realised I probably should have built more than I have... oops *blush*

So today I decided to build a few buildings. I was originally working on some canal buildings (the Amsterdam type), but changed my mind and have decided to start building some regular buildings. I am building them on 16x32 plates, so two will fit into a baseplate spot (so they are easy to manage and insert where needed).

I only have three so far, should* be able to build another three this long weekend (and maybe some parks etc). I was thinking of just bringing a box of street-scaping items to insert when ready. (I am going out tomorrow, so will take a note book and pencil to steal ideas from around me).

I don't understand the maps of where I am supposed to have buildings (size and where roads and rail are etc), so I am just building blind. I am a bit useless at that type of thing.

(The photos look a bit weird because I took them on my kitchen floor this evening and the flash is quite harsh).

*I have a toddler, nothing is certain in the crazy world of two year olds.

Thanks Aresze, and sadly no furniture inside (yet)

I do love building furniture though, so in the future I might do the insides.

Great work Anita.

I love the white building; very unique.

You are certainly talented with your MOCs.

I am looking forward to seeing them, and the BCC bus, and the ice cream van on Friday.

Just built a pet store, that way there is a pick of buildings as to what suits the layout.

I have been starting to do a rebuild of some of the houses I was not happy with, so I thought I would start with the yellow one (see top post).

So here is the yellow one with some tweaking (I also did internals)

There is still something about it that doesn't look right... but I am happier with it now.
