Re: My trip plans to BRICKS n FUN
Sounds like a plan! You might just want to give the owner a call first so that you know you'll have a chance to get some face time with him for filming.
Re: My trip plans to BRICKS n FUN
Anytime Friday should be fine. But the best time would be before school finishes, that is before 3pm, as it can get fairly busy bewteen 3 and 5 pm.
Re: My trip plans to BRICKS n FUN
I should be there after 9am and will be well gone before school is out lol i can't wait to see this store.
My viewers online are going to go nuts about this store.

Re: My trip plans to BRICKS n FUN
My trip to bricks n fun was a blast I love the store lay out with retail in the front and a big build room out the back with displays from BLTG it was nice to meet the owner and talk little about my youtube channel as well i got some good ideas for up and coming show what will be back middle of next month.
100% if you are on the Brisbane Bayside go and drop in and says hello as the store is full of LEGO kits we don't see in retail stores here in Australia.

I'm very impressed with this concept and hope the owner of BRICKS n FUN keeps it going for many years to come as I would love to venture into the store someday

Re: My trip plans to BRICKS n FUN
Well the mind behind Bricks N Fun is smazh he has been planing this store for years now and to see his first store open mid DEC last year has seen his dream come true for him.
I am happy to support his store in my videos and get the word out there.
I know all my sisters kids would love to build in the build room with 100's kits and draws of LEGO to build with all day.
The big display was made by BLTG its there old display from last year and now i am a part of this group.
one day i would like to see this store go Australia wide as its one of kind business for the Australian market.

Very cool. We were thinking of dropping in there this weekend (but have a sick toddler).
Love the building at 5:34, that is really lovely (like the whole layout, but that is my favourite building).

Re: My trip plans to BRICKS n FUN
That is something I personally would love to see happen too
I personally have been looking around to get myself started up and running but have failed at it because I haven't worked out the right clientele and location for such a venture as yet.
Sometime in the near future I will get there but as for now I need to concentrate on the display concept as this is something that will ultimately attract kids of all shapes and sizes into such a store
I guess it comes down to dollars, effort and patience to successfully see the results which I believe will come to fellow Tasmanians who like me love bricks !!!

Free Spirit,
The KFC and Pizza Hut were built by one of our BLTG members from Toowoomba.
He had to do a lot of research to find photos of the original style for those fast food places.
The detail inside the KFC is fantastic; he is working on lighting inside.
I believe his next project is an original MacChunder.

The Breeky Creek Hotel was built by one of your former BUGS colleagues. I agree that it is magnificent and it is a great crowd pleaser at train shows,
For some reason when asked to identify it, most blokes, maybe after a little help, will quickly come up with the correct answer.
Of course, some will complain that there are no wooden kegs on the public bar or no sign of the famous steakhouse out the back; I always quote council planning regulations.
The tall white building is the facade of the Queensland Country Life building opposite the Customs House in Queen St. This was also built by Ker.... Whoops.
Anita, I'll let you guess who it was.
It is so true to life but the original now has a 40 story office tower behind it.

Anyone who builds an original icon such as those stated will be the envy of their fellow enthusiasts so I will be waiting to hear more about his next project being a MacChunder

I am a bad Brisbanite. I didn't know what the Breakfast Creek Hotel looked like, I just goggled it and it is a brilliant version. I should have known it was built by Kerry, she is an excellent building builder.
