BLTG meetings
Over the years, the members of BLTG have met at members' houses for BBQs and discussions of all things LEGO.
Many hours of friendship was had whilst planning, building and making readiness for model train shows.
This still continues as we plan, deliver, and then gather on the Saturday night of a train show for dinner to discuss the highlights of the day.
We can then laugh about the dropped container of Lego or the train motor left 100Km away [ but replaced by another LEGOnian ].
Discussion moves on to the next day and what changes we can make to improve our layout.
We are planning five model train shows this year; the first is at the Brisbane Exhibition grounds on 30th April - 2nd May.
Our theme for 2011 is "Viva Brick Vegas".
We have had a number of meetings in the last month to plan for the shows and to build new display tables.
One of our members has opened a business ,
http://www.bricksnfun.com.au/index2.html
and we meet there for 'formal' meetings.
Our members come from all over Brisbane plus the Gold Coast, Ipswich, Redland and Toowoomba.
Last Saturday, a few of us met at President Ken's house to build new tables for the shows this year.
Every time we meet, the knowledge and ownership of LEGO of the members astounds us all.
All AFOLs in SE Qld are welcome to contact us and share the joy.

Re: BLTG meetings
The workshop on opening and rewiring 9V cords will be held in the middle of May - possibly on a Friday night.
