Subterranean Shenanigans: A Dwarven Mine MOC
First of all I tip my hat to some of the great builders who have inspired me to create this. Sly Owl, Mister oo7, and DNL
They have been instrumental in taking my building from this to what you see before you...

This was a blast to build, and took me a long time to get the details right, I hope you enjoy.
Thanks for taking the time to look.
Cheers

Re: Subterranean Shenanigans
Nice work, I love the rocky jagged look of the mountains.
Waterfall looks great but maybe slightly less trans-clear in the middle [Just in the middle, The rest is fine.]
I love the production line and just everything! Maybe a cannon of somesort ontop for protection against trolls? But I guess if this is a remote outpost and I dont think a cannon would look to go by itself ontop.

Re: Subterranean Shenanigans
I am loving your waterfall man!
I can see the inspiration but still I see you all over this. A certain snotty snow comes to mind.
That water fall is what I dream of making!
Great work ISC, are you showing/displaying this anywhere?
Regards, Cpt. PB

Re: Subterranean Shenanigans
Thanks fellow Anzac Lego Fans. As for a structure on top DL, the whole thing is meant to be underground, there was a stage when I was going to stack a baseplate on top with a nice cottage, but that really deserves it own MOC
The waterfall was something I had brewing for a while, and was fortunate to look through a PAB bag that a mate from US sent me that had a massive amount of trans clear 1 x 2 plates in it. So from there I just started sticking them together to make bubbly water, and the rest is MOC history LOL. Behing it is just trans dark blue bricks, I think I ordered 100 off BL a while ago, but found I like blue SNOT water more often in my MOCs (this being an exception)
No thoughts of displaying it, though thanks for the praise :

Re: Subterranean Shenanigans
Thanks for a nicely edited picture CptPB, you are the man. I try fiddling around with pics but I only use Paint.net at the moment. Time is always limited with two youngens running around. I shall post this pic at EB as well.
Cheers
BTW, this little forum is going well for you guys so far. Keep it up.

Re: Subterranean Shenanigans
This would make a nice MOC to bring to Brickvention next year (Oz day) if you felt like it. I'd love to see it up close.

Re: Subterranean Shenanigans
Thanks, Most of my MOCs don't stay built for long though. Always onto something else. Who knows about next year, I may make it down one year. I actually am trying to get over to BrickWorld in Chicago next year.

Re: Subterranean Shenanigans
I love it ISC, I hadn't seen this one of yours before. Really gives a great feel of being underground. Those rollers/crushers really have a strong look about them.
Also the flow of all the rocks works beautifully.
