Any one here do Lego Trains?
Hi Folks,
Sorry to "break into" the forums for my own purposes.
I am organising a model train show in the middle of Arpil 2011, and I am on the look out for someone(a group of someones) to display a lego trains build at my event.
If any one is interested could you please contact me at railshow@sarma.asn.au
With how lego displays have gone down in the past, as purely lego and at train shows in the eastern states, this is something that I would really like to have on display in April.
The trainshow runs from 15th - 17th April, which is the weekend before easter, and is held in the Golden Grove recreation and arts centre.
Looking forward to hearing from someone
Thanks
Iain Kennedy

Well, this could be a great opportunity for AdeLUGs to get involed in an event! I've been doing a stack of train shows with Bodville in Canberra, and it's great fun. Definitely do it!
P.S. Railshow, no worries about posting for your own personal gain - that's just what we're here for.

Thanks to Lightningtiger who has responded directly to my request for interested people.
As Captain Zuloo advises this is a fun event and will get you plenty of exposure and a number of free feeds to boot!
Cheers

LT if you have any questions I'm sure Cpt Zuloo and I would be glad to comment. I've done a bunch of train shows with M>LTC now between AMRA shows and Brickvention

Re: Any one here do Lego Trains?
sounds good does the lego area need to be only just train/town related or can it be castle/pirates aswell?
Re: Any one here do Lego Trains?
I reckon that if you can work out a way to fit it all together add the castles/pirates too.
I'm of the opinion that if you guys can make it work do it
I just wanted Lego trains

Re: Any one here do Lego Trains?
I would highly recommend doing any sort of exhibit, I did one in 2009 with Captain Zuloo, it’s one of the best things you can do with your LEGO is get out there and see what people think. Plus you have loads of fun with been cheeky in the little details of the layout.
If you’re considering it then definitely go for it.
And lastly if you do it right nothing will look out of place. It’s really easy to have almost anything fitting into your layout.
