Series 3 dotcodes Empty Series 3 dotcodes

Post by BrickTango Thu 02 Dec 2010, 2:41 pm

Hi all,

I received sealed box of series 3 minifigs today! legoeyeshutlaughing And the dotcode, sort of works!!!

First I could easily id the very first package I opened! An elf! Yay! Though success kind of ended there! Some of the packages have extra bubbles from the seal, some have the dots flattened!

I also easily identified the mummy according to the cheat sheet! But... the first 2 I opened ended up being the aviator!!! The third with the identical dot pattern was the mummy! Don't know how that works! I initially thought maybe someone had cherry picked the box as there were 7 packages with the mummy dot pattern (I still haven't gone through the whole box yet). But now I managed to id another 3 mummies without opening the package feeling for the scorpion after identifying them using the dotcode! So it works and not!!!

Also identifying the snowboarder with the dotcode also worked very well!

I'll keep you posted how rest of the box goes!

Latest Toyworld cat has the series 3 minifigs due 24th Jan
Bad news - $4.99 each
I'm thinking I will source these from overseas, I'm not paying $300 for a box of these

Toy world are notorious for being over priced target will have them for $3.00 or $2.50 if we're lucky.
at least they won't fly of the shelves at that price Series 3 dotcodes 582256

I doubt we'll see these at $3.00 this time, the RRP is $4.99. I'll be buying a box from bricklink again rather than paying our local price.

I've got both paypal and bricklink accounts and would be keen as to go halves in a box ..... I only really want a set but extras are always good.
I don't mind having them shipped to you and having mine forwarded. It's a bit tricky being on other sides of the country but I'm trusting and trust worthy. I swapped a set of Series 1 for a set of series 2 with Jawapro all over a forum..... we both sent 1 wrong one but apart from that it was all good...... let me know

Yeah all good
Can we get 2 boxes?
We can split one and I got a mate here who will take the extras from the split box.
Get them shipped to you and on from there I guess is easiest.
PM me your bank details and I will put the money in your account up front
I looked around bricklink and there were a few sellers with boxes for under $200

I know its good to support local business and stuff but seriously
If we can get 90 figs for $250 why would you bother with paying $5 a hit here?

Taz same thing for series 4?? legowink

I am doing well with them,

I choose to support my local bricks and mortar stores, but then I believe in supporting local jobs. Also I earn enough that it is not really a problem to spend a couple of hundred dollars every month on Lego.

All I am currently missing is the snowboarder, the Indian and the evil Spaceman.

Series 4 taken care of thanks Taz, do much cheaper than retail, I wonder if retailers will see the mistake of lifting the prices of these.
Series 1 and 2 went pretty fast at the cheaper price, you can still find series 3 in most shops I guess the $1 price rise made a difference
