Brickvention 2011 registrations now open
Hi All,
The Brickvention website has been completely revamped and is now open for registrations for 2011. If you are intending to come make a post in this thread so we know who to look out for.
This year we will be in the huge main hall of Melbourne Town Hall, so hopefully we won't have the long lines and crowded spaces we had last year. If you have any questions on the registration process or about Brickvention feel free to ask them here, or use the contact form on the BV website.

Great to hear that, I look forward to your display.
There appears to be two large train display's coming down from Sydney too. We will have trains out the wazoo this year i think, the M>LTC layout will be revamped, mine will be extended and hung off one side, another Mugs member will be adding a layout. Gambort and Scruffolous from flicker will be bringing their rolling stock, which will be displayed in a yard. Cpt Zuloo and Bodville will be coming down from Canberra.
Should be an awesome Brickvention this year.

Sounding great, we will also have a tiny train on the western display, but looks like its destined to just shunt backwards and forwards

I'm sure Teunis would be happy if you wanted to connect to the other layouts, even if yours was a branch line at one end. Teunis loves to run my PF trains through the 9V section so I doubt he would be too upset if someone else wanted to cause chaos too
Mine is a turntable and roundhouse and a mainline that I just adapt to the M>LTC's layout each time, but I may expand it to include a loop of PF track so I can run a train around it as well

I think we will keep it separate from the main train display, we want 360 degree access to the western layout.

Bodville will be making the drive again in 2011 and won't have to drive down to Phillip Island on the Saturday this time.
I should be able to bring a ute full of bricks, assembled of course.

It will be good to see you again Bodville. This time you'll get to meet the other AFOLs a bit more without a hoard of kids around. It's the part of the convention I like.

Some exciting news! The LEGO Community Overseer for the Australian region, Jim Foulds, will be attending Brickvention 2011. He'll be available for questions and will give a short presentation on a LEGO topic of his choosing.
