the end story is BE VERY CAREFULL BUYING DIRECT FROM DEMARK WITH AUSSIE DOLLAR AT EQUAL PARITY WITH THE US$, YOU SHOULD BE GETTING A LOT BETTER DEAL THAN WHAT THEY ARE OFFERING FROM DEMARK.

While I sympathize with you, most Lego prices are set for the year ahead, so the exchange rate wasn't at parity when they were set. Also the US market is far more price conscious than our own, so they have lower prices because we are willing to pay more.

To avoid this you could set up an account with a remailer and order using US prices. (To do this you just select the US as your region in the Lego store, but you need the remailer so you can provide an US address).
