How understanding is your partner?
I have to say I have an awesome partner. We built the Green Grocer and Grand Emporium together and she caries barcodes with her just incase she comes across Series 1 and help me complete my set :<3:
I am lucky me thinks!!!

Mines pretty good too.
She isnt really into the stuff i get but will hunt for me and get me stuff as a surprise every now and then which is good.
Its a matter of priorities though, we make sure the bills are paid the kids are looked after and then if there is spare cash I can spend some.

Re: How understanding is your partner?
My German Shepherd dog plays the role of a partner in my household so anytime I haven't been good to him by taking him for a walk I occassionally find some with a few teeth marks through it.
So I guess he is understanding in his own way, lol.

Re: How understanding is your partner?
My partner is the breadwinner here, so she also has control of most of the cash. That being said as long as the bills are getting paid I can spend some money on Lego. She's not really into it herself, but does have a crash test dummy on her desk and comes along to Brickvention each year. And sometimes like yesterday she suggests we go Lego shopping (I got the new station .

Re: How understanding is your partner?
I to am truly lucky to have been sharing my house and heart with another AFOL for the last 8 years. Now we are not wargaming as much, there is more time and money for lego.
Re: How understanding is your partner?
My husband also loves lego (he even had a small collection to add to my collection when he moved in).
Not as much as me though, but he helps me build lego, sort lego and buy lego. What more could I ask.

Re: How understanding is your partner?
My wife has no interest in Lego at all, and yet somehow we have a house with several thousand pieces, multiple books, a bunch of Lego Wii games, two display spaces in dining and reading rooms, and a dedicated building table in our reading room.
Understanding? Definitely. Indulgent? Like you wouldn't believe

In a word; Very. :D
In more than a word; Just the other day, after buying Lego Christmas gifts for each other and then trying to guess what sets they were after wrapping, we went out and bought more Lego! And she doesn't seem to mind me spending big on BrickLink when "necessary".

Re: How understanding is your partner?
My partner is not really into Lego but he's very impressionable and i am very...persuasive! I always find some reason why he has to help me complete a built and by the end of it i can see he's feeling a sense of satisfaction - he just won't admit it!
He is generous financially but only tends to buy me mini-figs - though he did go halves with me in the imperial space shuttle because a snotty girl told me i couldn't lay-by it as it was reduced and he didn't like that she upset me.
I have told him that when we both finish uni (and finally move out of his parents home) we will have to have a room for my Lego. He's suggested that i might want to commit more time to studying than building/buying Lego if i want that to be a reality

My wife was hesitant at first, but since I got rid of my car and bike collection, she has learnt to love the MUCH lower price tags I now look at
