Re: BUILDING MY OWN CITY / TOWNSHIP
I have had no problems at this stage because I make sure I have read the description very carefully as none of the Custom Made Modular Buildings come with a set of instructions

At the time of purchase I think I bought the Burger King, KFC and Subway however I do have a Maccas as well which may of being part of the three that arrived together.
It remains in pieces after an unsuccessful journey out of the box

They don't come with instructions, but i guess that makes it even more fun trying to rebuild from photos alone.

Re: BUILDING MY OWN CITY / TOWNSHIP
The good thing was that I didn't need to go use such a thing as a brickbuilders credit card
Re: BUILDING MY OWN CITY / TOWNSHIP
It is been a while since I said anything about what I currently working on in my township which has taken a newish direction.
I'm currently buying parts to build a Cafe Corner, a City Hall and my own version of a McDonalds Modular Building !!!
That's right I am not buying Custom Made Modulars at this stage because like a fellow enthusiast said you have more fun building them yourself and too right it is true

Free Spirit,
I couldn't agree more.
For me, the great thing about LEGO is that I can attempt to build what i dream by using elements lying around the house.

Re: BUILDING MY OWN CITY / TOWNSHIP
Just an update I have almost completed the ground floor of the McDonalds Restaurant with plans to add a McCafe at the rear of it.
Upstairs I am thinking of Ronald McDonald House which may change pending the decisions on which I go with the second building I have started work on building !!!
I hope to post a few photos soon as I am aware you have been waiting patiently for a while

Cool, Is it a MOC Macca's? My City wont get one until it reaches 7000 in population.
Edit: Just read back a bit, it is a MOC. I look forward to it.

Re: BUILDING MY OWN CITY / TOWNSHIP
As you can see the Grand Scaled Modular Building is far from looking that impressive however it is a start.
The objective is to build a full scale Shopping Centre wth small retail shops on the ground floor like you can barely see behind the windows of the second building with plans to put some offices on the next floor then who knows !!!
A lot of detail is still required for it to match the high standards of the likes of others
Re: BUILDING MY OWN CITY / TOWNSHIP
Oh, good luck trying to build a shopping centre - I tried once and gave up....turning back to doing shops on their own.
Macca's is starting to look good.......so what shops are going in ?

Yeah I like the Maccas so far, it's looking great!
And wow, a shopping centre would be crazy, a lot of bricks required...
I look forward to more updates

Re: BUILDING MY OWN CITY / TOWNSHIP
I've been around that long that I remember your Shopping Centre which at the time was quite good indeed.
At this stage my shopping centre has a old fashioned lolly shop which is covered up by the high roof and almost completed window frame.
Add to your imagination a Service Shop to get bus and train tickets at the front right and then move to the middle where the ones behind that will require six to eight large window frames plus bricks to create a butcher, dress maker, jewellers, travel agency and more before the back of it becomes a large supermarket.
Crazy but exciting when you add a car park to it with two car spaces already in place at the rear of the McDonalds Restaurant
You can see why its taken me so long to get it right

Re: BUILDING MY OWN CITY / TOWNSHIP
Endless possibilities indeed and did have this vision of putting the three little shops I had my eyes on at the front of the building but it hasn't worked out that way.
Life just bricks on as you say and with that different ideas keep giving me a new path to follow which is really the whole idea of building something yourself !!!
Always love and respect your feedback and works

Re: BUILDING MY OWN CITY / TOWNSHIP
According to this forum topic I haven't kept you updated with the progress of the township which has since become a part of the New Castle Shire municipality.
In the past few days I have been revamping it to make way for the first suburban/township areas being the main CBD which is on the verge of completion and will be named after its shire.
Exciting times are ahead once I finalise a few minor details and there will be photos taken of what I am working at achieving to follow as soon as possible !!!
